Shotgun Deer Hunting Trip
The outfitter's facilities were built to accomodate 4 hunters in two bedrooms in their basement- when we arrived we found out that they had overbooked(7 hunters total) and placed 2 hunters at a neighbors house and jammed a third person in our small bedroom.I ended up sleeping in the living room in order to get some sleep. Breakfast and lunch were poor this year- with little or no snacks to go along with a sandwich for a full days hunt. We stopped in town at a local grocery store to purchase food to sustain us on stand.Dinner was ok except the one nite of takeout pizza vs home cooked meal. The hunting was poor- the outfitter relies on hunters on other properties to get deer moving and push deer onto his leases. After opening day animal sightings were dismal. Out stands were placed on steep hills and were skylined-the deer could see us several hundred yards away as they came and went through the ravines. Most deer looked up when entering the woods around our stands- this led me to believe that the area was overhunted and stands were patterned. We were spraying down religiously with scent eliminators. The outfitter had many bowhunters in prior to shotgun season and the deer were very wary. The outfitter/owners were out hunting during the day - when they should have been strategizing, scouting and trying to put clients on deer. Overall the hunting was poor and they didn't seem to know what to do about it. My hunting partner and I will not return.

Ontario Hunting Information
Ontario is often considered a sportsman's paradise. This large province contains huge sections of wilderness, filled with thousands of lakes that provide excellent habitat for Canada moose and black bear. Excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, muskie, smallmouth bass and other species can often be combined with a hunt. From spike camps to 5-star lodges, there are lodges, guides and outfitters for every adventure and every taste.
New Mexico Hunting Information
New Mexico is one of the top destinations for trophy Elk and Antelope hunting. Draw odds can be tough depending on the unit but landowner tags are also available for those who don't draw. Mule Deer are plentiful but generally of average size. Only a couple of units and reservations consistently produce big muleys.
Arizona Hunting Information
Arizona has lots of trophy big game but is probably best known for its trophy elk and mule deer. This partially due to the limited number of tags available.
