enos lake camp
This is a first class operation. The camp was wonderful and food even better. The guides worked extremely hard to put us on an elk, but there were just no good bull elk in the area. The Lower camp put up good numbers but the enos lake camp only killed one elk in three separate hunts. And the guide had to go on a three hour horseback ride to get to that area to kill the one elk. We did see plenty of mule deer and was able to take a decent mule deer and my father missed a true trophy class muley. However the elk numbers were down for two reasons. Wolves, Wolves, and more Wolves. I should also mention that we saw Grizzly Bears about every hunt as well. This brings me to the point that if you do shoot an elk in the teton wilderness dont expect to get any meat. The Grizzly bears are so out of control they will be on your carcass within a couple of hours. As for the outfitter my only problem was they did not care about the customers trophy. Horns were drug off by black bears, forgot capes and antlers in camp and then had to ship them to the customer. wich at this time there are no sign of antlers at my house. But the biggest thing is that the United States needs to take action on the Wolves and the Grizzly bears. Wont be long and they will have the Elk on the endangered species list. But with all that said I will return to hunt with Triangle X based on the fact that everyone is so nice and knowledgable and our guides did everything they could to put us on animals. Like I said it is a first class operation.

Reviewer Comments: I hunted with my father and harvested a 300 class 6x6 the first day at the spike camp. We hunted hard for three days of our 7 day hunt and never saw another Elk. We were then informed we would have to move to the lower camp because they could not supply us and the horses from lower camp which was still closed to rifle permits. We were told at booking that we could not effectively hunt the management unit from lower camp because it was a 2 hours horseback just to get to the open Unit and another 1.5 hours to get to a huntable spot. That would mean breakfast at 1:30 AM & supper at 11:00 PM if you hunted morning and evening! We were effectivly forced out of the rest of our hunt. Every camp we crossed in the spike camp area was better prepared than our camp. I cannot recommend hunting with an outfitter that lies. Even if I did get a real trophy.

Utah Hunting Information
Utah has recently been outstanding for trophy elk, but the best tags take many years to draw. Utah does have conservation tags available for purchase that allow hunters to bypass the drawing. Given the high demand for these premium tags prices can be high. In the past Utah has been a top trophy mule deer state but recently only a handful of units consistently produce B&C caliber deer.
Arizona Hunting Information
Arizona has lots of trophy big game but is probably best known for its trophy elk and mule deer. This partially due to the limited number of tags available.
Illinois Hunting Information
Illinois is widely known as a top trophy whitetail destination. Illinois also has some great waterfowl hunting, especially in southern portions of the state.
