Species Hunted: Mule Deer

Game Quality: poor

Accommodation Quality: fair

Camp Condition: Fair

Food Quality: Vey good

Guide Experience: yeah right what ever

Other Personal Experience: poor

Overall Impression: poor, Road Hunt

Recommend: thats a stupid Question (NO)

Reviewer Comments: "Those of you coming with me put your Sh#T in the back of the truck". This is how our trip started. What hunt we drove around in the truck all day. And walked 2 days. Everything changed once we got to B.C. Rod Bohn told most of us that we filled the last 2 spots for the hunt. There was 10 of us there. Promised to see several good bucks. Saw 2. Not legal shooters. It was 4 pt. Season. Wasn't told this until we got there. VERY BAD first outfitter experince.

Species Hunted: Mule Deer

Game Quality: Poor

Accommodation Quality: Good

Camp Condition: Good

Food Quality: Good

Guide Experience: Pitiful

Other Personal Experience: Pitiful

Overall Impression: Worst hunt ever been on.

Recommend: Definately not

Reviewer Comments: All they wanted to do was road hunt and I mean on state roads and did not care at all about what the hunters wanted to do at camp or in the field. Even had one guide that had heart transplant 2 years ago. Now he was going to do a lot of spotting and stalking wasn't he.

Species Hunted: moose/mule deer/black bear

Game Quality: poor

Accommodation Quality: good

Camp Condition: ok

Food Quality: very good

Guide Experience: poor

Other Personal Experience: poor

Overall Impression: very poor

Recommend: no

Reviewer Comments: This is one terrible hunt.8 guys in camp in what was supposed to be the best week of the year, sep 24-oct 1 according to Rod Bohn. Well there was 1 31" moose taken,2 12-14" yearling mulies and 1 bear that had already been shot in the foot, that's it! As for hunting methods we rode around in trucks for about 12-14 hours a day. Another thing that is not revealed is that the area is open to the local hunters and they are only allowed immature bull moose. While riding aruond one day,[i mean hunting]we ran into a logger and asked if he had seen any moose. His reply "theres moose around here". Hunters BEWARE! I would only recomend this hunt to the worst of enemies!

Species Hunted: Mule Deer

Game Quality: poor

Accommodation Quality: good

Camp Condition: good

Food Quality: excellent

Guide Experience: fair

Other Personal Experience: good

Overall Impression: poor

Recommend: not to anyone

Reviewer Comments: Great if you like to road hunt for 5 days. No scouting for good hunting locations was done. It was just drive all day and hope a deer happens to be standing out when you go by. It was a very poorly run outfit full of unhappy people just putting in as little effort as possible. The food was great at most meals, kudos to the cooks. It was billed as a trophy rut hunt. The rut should be on in another 5 days, but not when we were there. There was the great comment by one of the guides to the outfitter about this being the third or fourth rut of the year, kind of insulting to hear from him. I was left very dissapointed in the whole experience, although the company of the other 9 hunters at the lodge made it bearable. I'll never book another guided hunt without doing my homework and checking references again.

Species Hunted: Bear/Moose/Mule Deer

Game Quality: Average

Accommodation Quality: Good

Camp Condition: Good

Food Quality: Good

Guide Experience: Good

Other Personal Experience: Good

Overall Impression: Very Poor

Recommend: Absolutely Not

Reviewer Comments: We were led to believe we would have a very good opportunity to shoot one of each species. This was absolutely not the case. It was obvious after the first day that the game was scarce. The owner convinced us to also purchase wolf tags. This was even more misleading. The concession rarely even produced a wolf sighting. We were all extremely disappointed. I would not recommend this outfitter.

outfitter review submitted by: Dave Berryman on Apr 16 2004

Species Hunted: Moose/Bear/Deer Combo

Game Quality: Very Good

Accommodation Quality: Excellent

Camp Condition: Excellent

Food Quality: Excellent

Guide Experience: Sucked big time!

Other Personal Experience: Excellent

Overall Impression: Never do it again

Recommend: Not if certain people are stil

Reviewer Comments: I had a real bad experience with my guide. He was not prepared nor had he done any pre-scouting prior to our arrival. I did kill a nice bear and shoot a moose. We trailed the moose for only one hour then the guide got cold due to the low temps and rain. He wanted to quite and head in to get dry clothes on. I wanted to stay and keep tracking but he insisted. We didn’t come close to properly trailing my moose in my opinion.

Species Hunted: Moose,Mule Deer

Game Quality: none

Accommodation Quality: Fair

Camp Condition: Fair

Food Quality: Fair

Guide Experience: Excellent

Other Personal Experience: Excellent

Overall Impression: terrible

Recommend: not in this life time.

Reviewer Comments: This outfitter promises the world, but only has a smoke and mirror operation, good liars. Stay away even though they frequently are talked about in Peterson's Hunting Mag. My hunt was 10/2001. Everyone was terribly deceived and extremely upset.

Reviewer Comments: Ten hunters in lodge, each hunted 6 days. Kill for week, 1 small moose, 1 large and 1 small black bear, no mule deer, for entire group for the week. Hunted last week of September. Game was scarce. Outfitter not honest about the amount of game available.
