Reviewer Comments: Was told a lot of different things, in the end about 80% of the major info didn't happen. On the first morning of our hunt (which was a five day hunt), in the first thirty minutes the guide--Eugene--talked my 14 year old nephew into shooting a 5X5 elk (which is what he was hunting). Eugene told him it was the biggest 5X5 he had ever seen, it was probable the largest in North America. I videoed at least 10 5X5's from my stand that morning (which was only 150 yds from my nephew) that was alot nicer than the one he shot---bottom line--they had him take a cull animal. When I seen the rack, compared to what I had let walk, it made me sick. Later when we expressed our diconcern to Chris (the owner) his first coment was "I should have collected all of your money first". We left, three members of our group stayed, one to take a meat buffalo---never could find the buffalo and left empty handed, one took a trophy buffalo and one took a 6X6 elk. They had to deliver their animals to a local processer themselves (no help from the outfitter as promised). The out fitter was to ship the meat after processin, this didn't happen either. My friends recieved a letter stating the meat had been donated. This was over 1200#'s of meat and at a time when there was no problems with bringing meat out of Canada to the USA. We were told a lot of things that didn't happen and I feel like the client (hunter) is not the priorty---it is about the dollar

Utah Hunting Information
Utah has recently been outstanding for trophy elk, but the best tags take many years to draw. Utah does have conservation tags available for purchase that allow hunters to bypass the drawing. Given the high demand for these premium tags prices can be high. In the past Utah has been a top trophy mule deer state but recently only a handful of units consistently produce B&C caliber deer.
Arizona Hunting Information
Arizona has lots of trophy big game but is probably best known for its trophy elk and mule deer. This partially due to the limited number of tags available.
New Mexico Hunting Information
New Mexico is one of the top destinations for trophy Elk and Antelope hunting. Draw odds can be tough depending on the unit but landowner tags are also available for those who don't draw. Mule Deer are plentiful but generally of average size. Only a couple of units and reservations consistently produce big muleys.
