Reviewer Comments: Cruising through this was suprised to see a negative report on Bethaven....I've been bowhunting twice with these people and can honestly report nothing but the best in everything. (May of 2004, May of 2005)I've also had 4 different friends hunt with them and they also say the same. I've taken 10 animals with the bow over there and highly recommend this for the plains game. Management is superb, PH's are superb, all I will stand by and give them the highest of scores in all that they do. I can't wait to introduce my son to bowhunting in Africa with Bethaven safaris. Having taken 15 different species of big game in the U.S. this is one hunt that I look forward to the most. Thanks so much to the whole crew at Bethaven and we'll see you again next year!

Reviewer Comments: I've hunted twice at Bethaven, once while they were a concession for another outfitter and again after they went on their own. There is no comparison between this experience and my first. Bethaven is much more personal, you might have the whole place to yourself. The family run atmosphere makes it a extraordinary experience even without the hunting. And the HUNTING! You WILL hunt here! There is plenty of game, and the PH's are very very good but you must be willing to walk a bit, climb some hills, and hunt! At 55+years and with 30lbs extra weight, I was breathing hard but was able to keep up. [- well, the PH might have slowed down a bit for me.] I'm telling everyone that asks, that they really must go there -I'm going back as soon as I can.

Reviewer Comments: My wife and I recently returned from a Ten Day plains game safari in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. All inclusive package containing the above listed eight (8) animals. Rocky, mountainous terrian that may not be suitable for all hunters. Shooting distances ranged from 50 to 350 yards. Guide only permitted the taking of mature male animals which could sometimes be difficult/frustrating when hunting zebra and species in which both sexes have horns. I have hunted throughout Nroth America but the accomadations provided by bethaven were second to none. Highly recommend this outfitter for a challenging plains game hunt.

New Mexico Hunting Information

New Mexico is one of the top destinations for trophy Elk and Antelope hunting. Draw odds can be tough depending on the unit but landowner tags are also available for those who don't draw. Mule Deer are plentiful but generally of average size. Only a couple of units and reservations consistently produce big muleys.

Manitoba Hunting Information

Manitoba is known as a top destination for avid waterfowl hunters. Huge flocks of ducks and geese can be found from the Arctic coast of Hudson Bay to the prairie potholes on the southern border of this Canadian province. There is no legal requirement for non-resident waterfowl hunters to use a guide, but many are available and a high percentage of non-Canadian hunters utilize them. In addition black bear, Canada moose and whitetails are hunted throughout the province.
