No Pig
I just got back from a three day hunt at Black River Plantation and it was a vertual no show for any hogs. I had feeders that were clogged or empty and kept being placed in the same spots. I thought that was odd being that they have so much land. I will admit the weather was not good, but out of six hunters someone should have got a shot at some point. When we got there we found the cabins to be dirty perhaps from the previous hunters. All in all a very disappointing trip and I could not reccomend this place or it's management to anyone.

Hog Hunt
The worst outfitter I have ever used. No organization , no communication , believe there were 3 pigs released in an area for 5 hunters. They put us in a fenced area , but tried to hide it from us. Feeders are allowed , but no corn in the feeder I was over first morning.

Reviewer Comments: We had the misfortune of being at Black River during an unseasonably warm November. In addition, we were hunting on the weekend of the full moon. The game just was not moving. But that did not stop Mike and Neil from going the extra mile (literally) and making every effort to give us the opportunity. The stands, sleeping quarters and the effort put into feeding the game was top notch. While we did not harvest an animal, Mike chose to give a deer to us that he had harvested the week before. Top notch! First Class Operation! I will be going back.

Reviewer Comments: New cabins, lots of game sign, crew works hard for clients. Food is not provided. Hunted middle October, too hot for game movement but still harvested 2 hogs and 2 deer during a 3 day hunt. We had a great time.

British Columbia is an excellent hunting destination that offers a wide variety of game species. Vast wilderness areas and pristine coastlines provide world class adventure hunting for those seeking that trip of a lifetime. BC is arguably best known for big coastal black bears, Canada moose, grizzly bear, mountain lion, Dall sheep and Stone sheep. Hunters can book a hunt with an outfitter and avoid the license drawing process common in most U.S. states.
