Island Black Bears
Sean Lingl and his wife Marni run a high quality outfitting business on Vancouver Island. Based on excellent reviews from his clients here at NextHunt, I coordinated a hosted hunt. It’s safe to say that everyone had a great experience. Sean has a huge guiding area, thousands of square miles, but only takes about 4-5 hunters per week to keep pressure down and mature bear populations up. Their Lodge in Port Alberni is very nice, with a scenic riverfront view. Each hunter had their own bedroom with a full bath. An outstanding breakfast and dinner was served at the lodge, with more great food than we could eat. Lunch was eaten while hunting and was good as well. Vancouver Island has a high population of black bears with some of the largest boars found anywhere in North America. All hunts are spot and stalk which adds another level of excitement. You will spend a lot of time in a truck driving to and from their lodge to the various hunting areas. The roads are rough to say the least. Once you get there you spend most of your time glassing timbered areas called “slashes” and old logging roads. Sean and his guides know how to hunt these big bears and work hard for their clients, because of their effort clients experience very high success rates. Our week was challenged by much hotter than normal temps, which really slowed daytime activity. Despite that, every hunter in camp had at least one opportunity to take a trophy Island black bear and in the end 4 of 5 hunters tagged out.

Coastal Black Bear Hunt
What an awesome experience, if you have never been to Vancouver Island I highly suggest going. I have hunted in Mexico, Canada, South Africa and all over the US and this is the most beautiful country I have ever seen. Sean has it all figured out, from the beautiful accomodations including a hot tub, steam room, cigar shack and large bedrooms with private bathrooms to the great meals and experienced guides. But all of that is just a bonus to some of the best hunting property I have ever encountered, I went the first week or two (dates aren't exact) of the spring season and some bears were still in hibernation but I still saw 40+ bears that week and took a HUGE 650+ pound bear (IN THE SPRING!!!). All hunts are spot and stalk, none of that "sit over a bait pile" crap. They have secured hundreds if not thousands of acres of logging ground that only their guiding service can hunt so you drive the logging roads, glass the opposite hillsides and creeks/rivers until you find a bear you want to put a stalk on. I would absolutely recommend Sean and his outfitting service to anyone looking to kill a monster bear or any other animal that they offer hunts on. (The lions are enormous on the island and if you do a Roosevelt Elk hunt and can shoot a bow you can just put your name in the record book before going) Again, I have hunted all over the world with numerous guides and outfitters and Sean is right at the top of the list in my book.

Islan bear hunt with Canadian guide outitter
I went hunting with Sean Lingl on Vancouver Island for the second time in may 2010. Just like the first time we saw lots of bears and bear sign every day. My guide Ryan Hartling had me on several large bears and on the last day of the hunt i shot my biggest black bear ever....well over 7 feet and 20 inch skull. Food, lodge, area and guides are realy first class. i would strongly recomend this hunt if you want an island bear.

Arizona Hunting Information
Arizona has lots of trophy big game but is probably best known for its trophy elk and mule deer. This partially due to the limited number of tags available.
Ontario Hunting Information
Ontario is often considered a sportsman's paradise. This large province contains huge sections of wilderness, filled with thousands of lakes that provide excellent habitat for Canada moose and black bear. Excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, muskie, smallmouth bass and other species can often be combined with a hunt. From spike camps to 5-star lodges, there are lodges, guides and outfitters for every adventure and every taste.
Quebec Hunting Information
Quebec is probably best know as an excellent caribou hunting destination. Hunters from across the globe travel to Quebec to hunt their big Quebec-Labrador caribou migration. In addition to caribou hunting, Quebec offers black bears, Canada moose and whitetails.
