Fantastic time!
I hunted hogs for a week at Cypress Creek Lodge in February 2018 and I had a fantastic time. The hogs had gone very nocturnal, but the staff was very determined to see me have a successful hunt. I saw my first hog on Wednesday and took it and saw a large boar and took it on my last hunt on Friday. The staff knows the area and the game, I only had to have faith in them and follow their suggestions. The accommodations and the meals were fantastic. I took my wife, who doesn't hunt, with me and she had a great time too. Besides being able to relax at the comfortable lodge, enjoy the great southern cooking and share in my experience, she was able to take a day trip into Savannah, GA. which was only about 45 minutes away. I saw a lot of deer and turkeys while on stand. I am planning to return next year for a combination deer/hog hunt and I would recommend Cypress Creek Lodge to any hunter that enjoys a fair hunt on open property. Thank you Danny and Cypress Creek Lodge, Craig Wisner, Hebron, Md.

Great Hunt
4th trip to Cypress creek was this deer season. Saw 17 deer in 3 1/2 days. 6 were bucks. I'm from NH and lots of folks here go seasons without seeing any deer.... Killed an 8 pt on the first day and a 6 pt on the second. Could have shot does each day. Should have had another 8 pt the last night out but somehow missed..Accomodations are outstanding! Staff is great and they work their butts off to put you on game. Highly recommended.

Guide couldn't remember what species we were hunti
We were so unhappy that we left half way through our hunt. The guide didn't even care enough to remember what species we were hunting. He kept trying to put us on hogs when we were there to hunt deer. We asked him if he could put us on some does and he asked how much longer we were staying , told us we had plenty of time left and walked away. The hunters that hung out with the guide all got deer and hadn't been there as long as we had. We spoke with the owner and we were told there are no favorites, all stands are the same and that we had plenty of time left. At that point we left. I understand luck plays a factor in a successful hunt but when the guide doesn't care enough to remember what species you are hunting it is pretty bad. I should point out that even though the guide was trying to put us on hogs we didn't see any hogs. During a rut hunt we saw 3 does none closer than 150 yards. This was our second trip to Cypress Creek. Our first trip was great but for our second trip we had the regular guide. When the guide doesn't care it isn't worth the time.

Reviewer Comments: We had a group of nine go down for two days. It was warm and there was a full moon which is not the ideal time to hunt but all we could swing. Mike took me out the first morning and I killed a 200 pound boar. No one else saw anything. That evening we went back out and one guy shot a 235 sow right at dark and another guy saw 12 under a feeder, shot at one and missed. The second day only one boar was seen. All in all not bad for a two day full moon hunt when dealing with nocturnal creatures. Mike and Bubba are intelligent and fun guides and Tammy (the cook) will make you gain 5 pounds a day!! The food is AWESOME!! We are definitely going back.

Reviewer Comments: There where 5 people in our group on a one day hunt. Saturday evening I shot a 125lb hog and saw 11 hogs. One guy missed a hog and saw 3. On Sunday morning I shot 165lb hog and saw 2, one other guy shot a small hog and 2 others saw hogs. Only one person in the group did not see any hogs. The food was great and the people are better. I would and have recommended this place to all.
