Great First Hog Hunt

Great first Hog Hunt (They didn't have a box to check). This was my first hunt of any sort out of my home state and first hunt with an outfitter. It set the bar for all future hunts I might go on. Danny and his staff were great, always joking around, and talking to you. They treated you like they had known you for years and weren't just a client to them. Danny and his guide Ken bent over backwards to ensure both my father and I got hogs. My dad took a nice Boar the first sit. I saw numerous hogs every sit but passed since most were small and I never had a clean shot at a big one. Both my dad and I saw numerous deer, and the night before our final sit Danny had a friend come over to test out a few new dogs he had for Hog Hunting. They allowed my dad and I to join them at night running the dogs and helped me take my first hog. The following day I saw numerous hogs but couldn't get a shot at the big boar thrashing in the bushes. Danny and Ken even took us out in their swamp buggy they use for Gators and allowed us to see how they bait and some of the other areas they hunt. On a side note Danny runs a program called The Sportsman's Foundation for Military Families which takes returning combat veterans and their families hunting for free. Danny and Okeechobee Outfitters was a great experience and I will surely be back again. I'm thinking about going for Gators next time

Utah Hunting Information

Utah has recently been outstanding for trophy elk, but the best tags take many years to draw. Utah does have conservation tags available for purchase that allow hunters to bypass the drawing. Given the high demand for these premium tags prices can be high. In the past Utah has been a top trophy mule deer state but recently only a handful of units consistently produce B&C caliber deer.

Manitoba Hunting Information

Manitoba is known as a top destination for avid waterfowl hunters. Huge flocks of ducks and geese can be found from the Arctic coast of Hudson Bay to the prairie potholes on the southern border of this Canadian province. There is no legal requirement for non-resident waterfowl hunters to use a guide, but many are available and a high percentage of non-Canadian hunters utilize them. In addition black bear, Canada moose and whitetails are hunted throughout the province.
