Excellent
I have hunted with Deltana Outfitters on two occasions. First in 2008, I was part of a 3-man group that used Deltana for a drop camp for caribou. Excellent service and we bagged 4 caribou in three days filling all tags. Easy to work with and picked up early to get the meat out of the field. In 2011, I hunted with Deltana again for my dream of chasing Dall rams through the Brooks. I got my chance on the first afternoon and have a beautiful 39 1/8" ram trophy to show for it. If not for the broomed right horn, this would have easily been B&C. Scored 154 4/8. I also took advantage of their trophy fee-only policy and took a nice inland griz. Moved camp so we could start hunting bears a few days early. Again, excellent service, excellent guide. Note: I have not hunted with Deltana since Ralph's passing in 2012 so I cannot speak to current conditions.

I worked with Ralph Miller, before he passed, to set up this hunt for 4 hunters. Unannouced to me was that Jim (the business partner) had taken over the operation. It was obvious that Jim, unlike Ralph, did not want non-guided hunters! He had also alienated all but one pilot. Jim was happy to take our money and proofed our tags then Jim let my guys know that we weren't welcome in camp. We set up camp at the end of the runway for two days waiting for the weather to clear. Thank god the pilot put us in an awesome hunt area! We harvest 6 awesome bulls, bigger bou than what the guided hunters were harvesting. My advice - know how many pilots are avaiable to shuttle you back and fourth. If the weather sucks, what is plan "B" & "C". Would I do this hunt over, in a heart beat. But it sure won't be with Deltana! Curt H.

Dall sheep and caribou
I was very pleased with the quality of the outfitter and guides. I enjoyed my hunt even more than I expected to. The guide was first rate, the outfitter did everything he promised to do. I got a ram and a caribou, couldnt be more pleased

Reviewer Comments: I have just returned from a first rate dall sheep hunt with Deltana Outfitters. The Brooks Range of Alaska is unquestionably one of the most remote areas in North America. I took a beautiful 35-1/4"ram with 26" spread, in spite of horrendous weather. My guide, Billy Molls , was one of the best I've ever had the pleasure to be around; absolutely a top notch man in all respects. I am an experienced hunter and have traveled extensively and been with some great outfitters. Deltana Outfitters is up there with the very best. Ralph and Jim go above and beyond to please their clients and I can recommend them without any reservations whatsoever. Be in the best shape possible; shoot straight and be prepared to tolerate some tough conditions in the field, and you will come home with a trophy ram.

Reviewer Comments: My hunt was in September of 2002. Ralph will see to your every need and wish. All equipment was top of the line and in excellent shape. All guides carry satelite phones just in case they are needed. My guide, Billy, was outstanding. Hunting was by motorized canoe, then climbing hills to glass and call. I saw 8 bull moose in the first 3 hunting days that ranged from 70"+ to 53". Wind spoiled 2 stalks that we tried on the 70"+ and a 65"+, so on the 4th hunting day, we stayed on our hill and I took a 62" bull that was just across the river. There were 2 grizzly and 1 black bear in the area, but all had cubs with them. The next morning, I took a grey wolf off the gut pile. The next morning I used my bear tag on a black wolf. Caught grayling for fun and a change in dinner. This was a great trip with outstanding guide service, scenery and wildlife. I highly recommend Deltana Outfitters and I have booked a sheep hunt for 2004 with them. I will also be booking a bear hunt for 2005.

Reviewer Comments: Ralph Miller and Deltana want you to have a good, fun, and successfull hunt. Sheep were spotted from the air and hunters stalked a specific sheep. If stalk unsuccessful, hunter is moved to another sheep. Ralph and all involved are scrupulously honest and ethical. The guides are very experienced and have guided with Deltana for some time. In my group all 4 hunters got their sheep within the first 2 days. My sheep was taken an hour and 20 minutes into the season. The hunt is rigourous physically and the weather may be bad, be prepared. I highly recommend this outfitter

Utah Hunting Information
Utah has recently been outstanding for trophy elk, but the best tags take many years to draw. Utah does have conservation tags available for purchase that allow hunters to bypass the drawing. Given the high demand for these premium tags prices can be high. In the past Utah has been a top trophy mule deer state but recently only a handful of units consistently produce B&C caliber deer.
British Columbia Hunting Information
British Columbia is an excellent hunting destination that offers a wide variety of game species. Vast wilderness areas and pristine coastlines provide world class adventure hunting for those seeking that trip of a lifetime. BC is arguably best known for big coastal black bears, Canada moose, grizzly bear, mountain lion, Dall sheep and Stone sheep. Hunters can book a hunt with an outfitter and avoid the license drawing process common in most U.S. states.
Manitoba Hunting Information
Manitoba is known as a top destination for avid waterfowl hunters. Huge flocks of ducks and geese can be found from the Arctic coast of Hudson Bay to the prairie potholes on the southern border of this Canadian province. There is no legal requirement for non-resident waterfowl hunters to use a guide, but many are available and a high percentage of non-Canadian hunters utilize them. In addition black bear, Canada moose and whitetails are hunted throughout the province.
