Reviewer Comments: Another great hunt! I took my wife with me this year for her 1st mule deer hunt. She wanted a non-typical, something different. (Ya Right) Anyway the weather was warm, 60's on Thanksgiving week, who would expect. We were seeing deer but not the big ones. On the second day in the morning we spotted my wife's deer, unfortunately the deer had different thoughts. He was gone. We hunted for him high and low the rest of the morning hoping not to chase him. So that afternoon went to another area. The next morning my wife woke up and said, let's go look for the deer. Terry and I looked at each other and grinned. I will tell you though my wife was born with a horseshoe implanted where the sun does not shine. So we go back to the area, and we are not 200 yards from where we saw the deer the morning before and there he stands, broadside, in a patch of pines. 1-shot, 225yds Thompson Center 25-06. Deer down. We get up to this deer, and he is defianetly non-typical. a 30in tall, still in velvet mule deer stag. The neatest deer, I have ever seen. Not bad for her 1st deer. Mine was not as easy, 3 hours left in the hunt, and I would go home empty, instead of shooting a last day so-so deer. Our luck with the weather changed the last morning of the hunt though. Started seeing alot of deer movement w/ cold front moving in. We did alot of driving, walking, climbing, looking for big daddy. As we turned a corner, going up the side of a mountain, my wife yells, that deer is huge. There he was a heavy, heavy 27 1/2in 5x4, chasing a doe. He never saw us, we stalked him over 3 valleys and got within 50 yards, didn't need to be that close, but when we crested the last hill, there he stood w/ 4 does. Another great deer and great time with Terry. This man knows his land, and owns and leases alot of it. He can see deer a mile away, and I am not exaggerating. If you want a big mulie, and have patience, they are there. You have to have patience, to shoot the big mulies. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. He also has a ton of antelope, and if your lucky enough to draw a tag, some great elk. Thanks again Terry

Reviewer Comments: My hunt took place during the rut 2005. I have hunted out west since 1987. I am always looking for the best place. Well I have finally found it. I was treated like one of the family. I saw 5-10 quality bucks a day. I ended up taking a 28in inside spread 4x5. I saw a lot of super bucks the 5 days I was there. My guide was the owner Terry, and by far the best guide I have ever seen. This guy could see deer at a 1/2 mile and that is no exaggeration. Everything about this operation is A+++++. If you could be lucky enough to draw a elk tag for rifle, I saw some nice elk. Also, the bird hunting, turkey, pheasant, and grouse is outstanding. Oh, I am already booked for next year. Do not hesitate to contact me.

Reviewer Comments: Let me start by saying, I have been going out west since 1987. I love hunting Mule Deer. After all these years I have found the place to hunt and the guy to go with. I debated whether to put this on here because I didn't know if I wanted to share this with anyone. But after reading and having been on crappy hunts, I decided to go ahead and put this on. Terry owns and leases so much prime property in the 5 days you are there you could never touch it all. If you can control yourself and be patient, you can have the chance of shooting a big mulie. The quality of deer in this area is unbelievable. Around every mountain, you do not no what to expect. I took a 28in wide 4x5 with brow tines (11 pointer). I took my deer the second day of a five day hunt. The thing that impressed me besides the property and quality Deer, was after I shot my deer, Terry was there to Turkey, pheasant, and coyote hunt. We hunted until the time I left. This is a class operation with a real chance at taking a real trophy Mule Deer. If you are tired of wasting your money call me and I will get you in contact with Terry. The only thing is, he only takes so many hunters a year and most clients are repeats. This my first year, but there will be many more. And yes I took, a turkey, coyote and pheasant. GREAT HUNT all around.
