non compliance
If you want someone who doesn't live up to their word... I was a guide who was called with 4 hours before who the outfitter promised a hunter I would be there. I lived 800 miles away and was there the next day. I was promised $1000 to guide this hunt. I drove foe 2 days and made it there. The only reason I agreed to do this hunt was the hunter, Don Eislele, (484-459-2260) was a long-time client of mine back when I owned the company. We have had many great hunts together and when I was called by the current owner at the last minute, I felt compelled to take care of Don. We had a great hunt, as usual, and when we were done on the third day of the hunt, we were informed by the owner that we would have to stay in town because he had booked another hunter to stay at the ranch that night when we still had one more day on our hunt. I drove 800 miles home that night and Don drove to Dallas. I'm still waiting to be paid for my effort. If you want to be lied to and hope to believe it, Elite Outfitters is your guy. Call Don if you don't believe me. Good luck!

Good Luck!
I am a guide who was called less than 4 hours from when a client, Don Eisele (484-459-2260) was due to arrive for an Axis Deer hunt. Sorry, but this stupid site made me pick a species other than Axis... I live 800 miles away in Arizona and could not be there until the next day. I have owned this company before and have guided Don for 15 years. We started hunting the following day and killed a great Axis buck on the third day. We were set to enjoy the rest of the third day when we received a call from the owner of Elite informing us we had to vacate the ranch because another hunter was coming in when we technically had one more day on our hunt. We ended up leaving for home when we should have had another day at a minimum to stay. Not only that, but it has been over a month and I still have not been paid for guiding the hunt. And I never will be. He won't answer my call and will not return a message. Guides and hunters are disposable. If you want to be disposable, Elite is your outfitter. Otherwise, look elsewhere. If you don't believe me, call Don. I gave you his number.

Irresponsible
Guide encouraged a 525 yard cross canyon shot that hit a little back then rushed the bull to recover -- a lot of blood but we never found it. The bull was 100 yards away from the Mescalero Apache Indian land. When I tried to speak with the outfitter to express my concerns and to see if my bull was found all he could do was tell me how much I pissed him and the guide off and that I should "Jump on it." Don't hunt with these low lives. Does not deserve the one star but your web site doesn't allow it! These guys are bad news and a disgrace to the industry.

Camp Condition: Great
Food Quality: Great
Guide Experience: Top Notch

Overall Impression: Best Ever
Recommend: YES, YES, YES
Reviewer Comments: We have hunted in other parts of Arizona, Idaho, and Utah and this is by far the best experience we have had yet! Johnny and Brian are great men and terrific guides. They will work you out so be ready physically, however, they will get you into the big bulls. And, they expect you to do your share of the work after the kill, as well, which is some of the most fun. We had a great time and we will be back in 2008. Have fun and happy hunting!

Reviewer Comments: 2 OF US WENT ON A PRIVATE LAND ELK HUNT WITH ELITE IN NOV. 2005. WE SAW 46 BULLS IN 3 DAYS AND BOTH KILLED BULLS OVER 310. THE HUNTING IS HARD, BUT IF YOUR IN SHAPE YOU'LL KILL A GOOD ONE.

Reviewer Comments: This was my second hunt with Elite in three years. Both hunts have been great from A-Z. If you are researching a guide to hunt elk in New Mexico look no further than these guys. All guides and staff working for them are top notch and work extremely hard to get you on a big bull. Get in shape if you plan to hunt with them. They hunt the most rugged parts of wilderness areas where the big bulls are located. If you can keep up with the guide they will put you on the elk. Both of my hunts ended with a good elk but I had the hunts of a lifetime regardless of the kill. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding Elite, they are top notch in anyone's book.

Reviewer Comments: This was my second hunt with Elite Outfitters and I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to hunt elk in New Mexico. These guys run a top notch business and work hard to ensure that their clients have a quality hunt. Quantity and quality of game seen was unbelivable in the area these guys hunt. I saw and passed on elk everyday of the hunt with both my dad and I connecting on two very nice bulls. If you are researching guides for an elk hunt in NM don't look any further than Elite.

Reviewer Comments: The way elk hunting is supposed to be totally fair chase, widerness ranges, alpine meadows, very few hunters and plenty of trophy bull elk. If you are in good phyical shape your chances of getting a trophy bull improve greatly.

Reviewer Comments: A friend and I spent a week with Brian and Johnny during one of their late season elk hunts in January 2002. Jeff and I had a great time, we both harvested 300+ class B&C bulls as well as enjoyed the great accommodations provided to us. The quantity and quality of game seen was outstanding. Both guides were very knowledgeable about all facets of the geography and the hunt. What stood out the most on this hunt was the honesty and integrity that both Johnny and Brian displayed. These fellows truly enjoy the hunt as well as care about their clients expectations being met. The honesty they displayed before during and after the hunt was impressive. They showed devotion and respect to their families who are also involved with making the hunt and adventure a success. That is rare to find in todays society. I endorse very few outfitters, Elite Outfitters is definitely one enjoyable group of people who I would highly recommend if considering a big game hunt. I will continue to hunt with this group as long as they will allow. John.

Illinois Hunting Information
Illinois is widely known as a top trophy whitetail destination. Illinois also has some great waterfowl hunting, especially in southern portions of the state.
Quebec Hunting Information
Quebec is probably best know as an excellent caribou hunting destination. Hunters from across the globe travel to Quebec to hunt their big Quebec-Labrador caribou migration. In addition to caribou hunting, Quebec offers black bears, Canada moose and whitetails.
Oregon Hunting Information
Oregon is not known to be a trophy big game producing state. That said they do have good quantities of animals such as Elk.
