Deer Hunt at Great southern Outdoors
I hunted with (2) friends at Great southern Outdoors on 1-3 thru 1-6 2013. The food was great. I got thrown into a room with my friend and his wife and we all felt cramped. There was a total of (18) hunters there at the same time. We saw absolutely no deer. One guy killed a small 8 point. We saw no does, and no hogs. Some of the hunters saw some spike bucks. I was really disappointed. I saved my money and after working all year I was ready to hunt. I could not believe that we did not even see a deer. I guess the biggest kicker was that no one told us thank you for coming or they were sorry we did not get to even see anything. They seem like nice people but they took my $1800.00 and all I got was some good food and a place to sleep. Simply disgusted, I got screwed.

Best Kept Secret
I am local to Alabama and have been fortunate to hunt private land, public land, military land across the state. I have also hunted with outfitters across the country for Whitetail Deer --- and the best kept secret is right here in my back yard in Alabama. Rex, Hunter, Ginger and the gang at Great Southern Outdoors provide an outstanding experience. In our recent hunt I was joined by friends from Arizona as well as Alabama... and from the moment we drove up to the lodge on the plantation the experience was awesome. Walking into Ginger's office was like talking to someone you've known your whole life. And don't let the south Alabama drawl from Rex and Hunter fool you --- they have that place dialed in and you need to listen to every instruction they give you -- they know their stuff when it comes to deer movement, stand placement and every aspect of getting close to the critters. No shortage of big deer on this place, if you are looking for a hunt with everything the experience has to offer then don't miss the chance to hunt with GSO. The Food --- shut your mouth.... the food alone is worth the trip. The accommodations - nice rooms, soft bed, hot shower... what else do you need on a hunting trip? The Activity Center - play pool, relax on a sofa, watch the big game on the big screen. Great place to hang out and strategize about tomorrows hunt. This trip will be our annual getaway ---

GreatHunt
This is my 2nd trip to GSO and while I have only killed one doe, I have enjoyed myself immensely each time. I appreciate how they make it feel like seeing family. The entire staff are some of the finest people that I have ever encountered. The time that I got to spend at Great Southern Outdoors & with their staff have been some of the finest hunting memories that I have ever experienced and yes, that even includes Rex. Both my buddy and myself had a wonderful time and look forward to using our five dollar coupons in the future! In all seriousness, they make it an experience that is so much more than just killing a deer.

HIGHLY RECCOMEND
Great Southern Outdoors is one of the finest operations I have ever hunted at. I live in Florida and travel to hunt several times a year. I have been to Great Southern Outdoors for both Whitetail and Quail. The staff is top notch and the accomodations are outstanding. The staff strives to make your hunt all about you. I would highly reccomned Great Southern to anyone who wants to feel comfortable and well taken care of. The only negative thing I can think of is that I fell off my diet Hard. The food was both outstanding and plentiful.

GSO is Great
I have hunted at Great Southern many times over the last 10 years and would reccomend them to everyone. Everytime I hunt there, either for deer, turkey, or hog I have a great time. The staff works very hard to make your hunt a success. The lodge is a great place to relax after the hunt and play a game of pool or just sit around and tell hunting stories. I can honestly say that I have never had a bad experience at Great Southern Outdoors. Its family oriented environment is outstanding, and everyone is made to feel very welcome and at home. The deer are plentiful and very nice size for Alabama. I have killed several 8 point bucks and so many does for the freezer I can't even count em. I have hunted many places, but always return to Great Southern Outdoors. I would be happy to tell anyone and everyone abou my experiences at Great Southern Outdoors, feel free to give me a call 941-504-0120

My GSO Experience
I have hunted GSO approximately 8 different years from 2002-2010. My hunting experience with GSO has been exceptional. I have taken every species offered at GSO with one exceptional buck at 152 inches and one hog that weighed over 200 pounds. I have never experienced anything but the highest of regard when it comes to customer service. The accomodations are excellent, the food is always first rate, and the hunting is always exactly whats advertised. You are doing real hunting and if you expect to kill a Boone and Crockett animal everytime you go there you are just expecting too much. This is true no fence hunting that I grew up with. You do not hunt over feeders and the stands are well placed for deer movement. I would highly reccomend GSO to anyone who wants to experience a great hunt, great food, and Great Southern Hospitality.

Great Hunt Experience
We hunted at Great Southern Outdoors August 2010 for a hog hunt. Came back in December for a Deer Hunt. There were 4 in our group and we all had a blast. My wife and I and another couple. The accommodations were nice and the staff all went out of their way to see that we had a good time. I harvested 2 does and missed a really nice buck. My wife shot and missed a hog. On our deer hunt there were 11 people in camp and we saw a total of 161 deer and several hogs during the 3 days we hunted. My buddy killed a really nice 9 pointer and his wife did not hunt. There was another nice 8 point taken and several really nice bucks were seen. My wife and I brought our son with us on the hog hunt. We were in camp with 10 other hunters. I took a couple of small hogs to process. I didn't see any real big ones, but a couple of the other hunters did. Several hogs were taken and even more seen. Overall a great place to take your family. I will definitely come back.

Greatest Hunt Ever......NOT
Absolutely the worst hog hunting experience ever. Sat in a tripod the first two days in the blazing sun with no shade and no hogs. Heard a big hog on the second day in a hardwood bottom, told the guides about it and they assured me i could hunt him the remainder of the trip, the owner moved me to a different stand far away from the only signs of a hog i saw all weekend. will never go back and do not recommend to anyone.

Hog Hunt
Absolute worst. I cannot believe these folks call themselves professionals or actually make a living providing these type of hunting experiences. Besides telling several untruths (like we would see groups of pigs from 20 -60 at a time or that no one had hunted the area we would be in for a month or that they had 6000 acres - - which they don't, etc) everything done on the cheap. Meals orchestrated so you only get two meals - - breakfast at 11 am and supper at 9 pm (cold & in a take out box). Stands are over hunted with trash and cigarette butts all around them. Pick up and drop off takes a couple of hours so you will stand in the dark for up to 1.5 hours waiting to be picked up after the hunt. There were twenty hunters in the group and four "hunts". Out of those eighty opportunities, there were three pigs seen and three pigs killed. Not customer oriented at all. The owner, his son, and friends lounged around on the couches so the paying guests had to sit in the dining area to watch the TV. The son drove around at night spotlighing the areas we were going to hunt the next day. The 17 year old son almost killed 5 of us riding in the pull behind hunting cart by recklessly turning in front of a car going 65 mph. You will waste your money and time going here.

Worst experience of my life
Worst hunting experience in my life. I have been to a lot of hunting lodges in the Southeast and this one is by far the worst. These people have never heard of customer service and are completely out of touch with their customers. I would not return even if it was free. This place won't be around long. They will end up getting someone killed and lose the place for negligence. They have a 17 year old kid (extremely arogant because he's the owners son) hauling 20 hunters around on a wagon behind a truck. The kid is texting and driving way to fast over uneven road. The wagon will eventually flip or get hit by another car because they take it on a main highway (82). Also, they forgot two hunters in the woods. TWICE! They have two boys carting around 20 hunters. Therfore, I was able to hunt for 2.5 hours of light and sat in the dark for another 2 hours. The food was horrible and cold ... Don't plan on being comfortable watching a football game on the TV because the owner and his kid lay on the couch while thier customers are sitting on hard stools in the back. Oh yeah, and there aren't any Deer or Pigs because the son is spotlighting the land every night.

Kansas is one of the top producing monster whitetail buck states in the country. It also has some excellent turkey hunting and a few big mule deer in the western part of the state. Kansas has an excellent reputation as a top notch destination for upland birds. It has excellent populations of pheasant and quail due to the vast expanse of suitable prairie and grassland type habitat.
Saskatchewan Hunting Information
Saskatchewan is home to giant whitetails and skies filled with waterfowl. Saskatchewan is located in the northern part of the central flyway and harbors huge numbers of migrating ducks and geese.
