Nice guys but educated deer
Great area for hunting Whitetail in Missouri. The place is within an hours drive of both Southeastern Iowa and Western Illinios. The outfitter and his guides are super nice and the food is good. Lodge could use some updating. One bathroom for six to eight men can be a problem. In my opinion the guys are running to many hunters through the place and have done a good job of educating the deer. You can tell that stands have been on the same trees for years. There were several hunts where deer would stop at the first clear spot and stare at the stand from 200 yards away. Seemed like they were used to checking for a hunter in that spot before they came any closer, and I was bow hunting.
