Wilderness Elk Hunt
Absolutely the worst hunt I've been on. Only saw 2 bulls all week and only about 12 elk. The elk were on the other side of a canyon with no chance of getting close enough for a shot.Guide would not move to another area, just kept pounding the same area with almost no elk there.

Beware
Just got back from a combo elk and mule deer hunt, 8 days. Never had a chance to shoot at either. Website mentions 8-10 hunters in camp but we had 11. The other camp had been closed for the season so I think they loaded up our camp with too many hunters. Guide may have not been as familiar with our camp as he was brought from the other one. I would definitely find out how many hunters will be in your camp. Also find out if guide is familiar with area. Hardest hunting I have ever done and to not get to even shoot was very disappointing, especially for the cost.

Hunting Novices
I have never been so dissatisfied with a hunt in my life. The guides had no idea what they were doing. The entire week I saw one Bull. At one point two of the guides were calling one to the other. In the two camps that were operating the week I was there not one bull was harvested - except one taken by one of the owners friends that didn't even pay to be there. He made a point of letting us all know that he had been there for about 10 days and got to come and go as he liked. As a friend of the owner he was given priority of hunting area every day he was there. The owner, Bill Perry, promised a lot and delivered very little. I thought this hunt was a joke. I would not trust him. I would not trust this outfitter for a hunt. It is not money well spent.

Wyoming Muledeer
Absolutely a trip of a lifetime. The country and service the camp and guides gave was second to none. It was an amazing experience. Jim and Bill expect their folks to work hard for the clients. Saw these guys bring in some fabulous bull elk. I was hunting muledeer and the migration thru the thorafare region. Saw over 400 deer in five days hunting. Killed a respectable muledeer and my buddy shot and missed a dandy. He later killed a good muledeer. I will return to hunt elk with these guys in 2011.

2006 Wilderness Camp Hunt
Best western experience. Hunt of a lifetime. Guides and camp people worked extremely hard to make the trip the best. Quantity of game was awesome. Muledeer migration. Saw some of the best Elk guides working that you could ever want for a hunt. First rate operation. Jim and Bill run a fabulous camp. Saw 480 muledeer in 4 days of hunting. Both my friend and I tagged out early. If you want a near guarantee for mule deer go with Hidden Creek Outfitters. They probably from what I saw are one of the best elk camps in the Thorafare area. You can't go wrong with these guys.

Reviewer Comments: I gave a bad review in 2005 on this site because of a bad guide. Was very upset. After submitting the review I contacted the Guide service to explain my disappointment. They rebooked me on a wilderness hunt and made it right. I can't say enough good things about Hidden Creek Outfitters. You will have bad things from time to time but its how you handle a bad situation that's most important. They did it right. Saw over 400 deer in 4 days hunting. The attention to detail during our camp stay was excellent. They lived up to their promise to make it right for me. Killed a respectable buck but it was the total experience that made this hunt. The elk hunting was fabulous and I will return soon on an elk hunt. They know their business. Thanks to Jim and Bill.

Reviewer Comments: I would not refer this service to anyone. They over book and advertise things they don't deliver on. The guides work ethics are poor and they don't work hard for you. This was a ranch hunt. They lease the ranch and cooks from another guy and he's 5-star. They have nothing to do with the hunting. Never saw the head guy or guy's during the hunt. They take your money when you arrive and they don't return. Very disappointing experience.

Reviewer Comments: I was in a dream all the game from monster elk, grizzly, moose, big horn sheep, it's like you hear of places like this and want to be their. Well I was I saw over 100 deer a day, herds of elk, and lots of other animals to. I passed on so many mule deer bucks I lost count and harvested the deer I had dreamed about a 6 x 7 mule deer with main beam horn length 2'-8", he is very impressive. I saw a 7x7 and a 7x6 Bull elk that would make B&C, 180 yards and didnot have a elk tag, so if your an elk hunter their still their make your dream come true. You here the saying best of the West, then here it is Hidden Creek Outfitters you won't be disappointed.

Reviewer Comments: We went to Cody, WY in the Fall of 2001. The only negative was the weather. This is a horseback/pack trip back 40 miles from the nearest dead end road over the continental divide. The weather was extremely and unseasonably warm/hot for the elk to be moving through the area. The camp had a double occupancy because it was the week after 9/11 but the staff handily took care of all of the hunters. I was one of the 8 out of 10 hunters to get an elk (6 X 6). Hidden Creek is on the outdoor channel which is how I originally gained my attention and they lived up to my fullest life time dream hunt!!

Reviewer Comments: I was very impressed with the way everything was handled when I arrived at Bill's office everything was planned out and we were told what to do with our gear to be packed in and when to arrive the next morning for the pack trip in. The ride in was breath taking the mountains animals we saw. When we arrived at camp Bill told us which tent we were staying in & took us around & shown us were the Cook & Dining tent was the Shower tent the Bathroom tent,it was an awsume setup and think to be back in the wilderness 30 miles and have these accomindations. The food was wonderful it was like eating in a high priced resturant. The areas we hunted were beautiful with lots of different game we saw elk-moose-Big horn sheep- mule deer & grizzly bear. The weather didn't coroperate it was hot for elk hunting, even with the weather hot we saw 30-40 head of elk everyday and the sign was everywhere.Bill said if it were 20 deg. cooler we would see 60- 100 elk a day,the sign was there, the elk sayed bedded up during the day. The guides were very experienced & new the lay of the areas. The personal in camp was the best I've ever seen, polite - considerate & very helpful in what ever your needs. Bill runs a 1st class operation , from the personel to the horses & mules to ride & pack were excellent. If you are truely looking for a top notch outfitter & person, and an area that holds trophy elk then give Bill Perry with Hidden Creek Outfitters a call. I'am going on a trophy Mule Deer hunt with Bill in October thats how impressed & confident I'am with Bill Perry & Hidden Creek Outfitters.

British Columbia Hunting Information
British Columbia is an excellent hunting destination that offers a wide variety of game species. Vast wilderness areas and pristine coastlines provide world class adventure hunting for those seeking that trip of a lifetime. BC is arguably best known for big coastal black bears, Canada moose, grizzly bear, mountain lion, Dall sheep and Stone sheep. Hunters can book a hunt with an outfitter and avoid the license drawing process common in most U.S. states.
Manitoba Hunting Information
Manitoba is known as a top destination for avid waterfowl hunters. Huge flocks of ducks and geese can be found from the Arctic coast of Hudson Bay to the prairie potholes on the southern border of this Canadian province. There is no legal requirement for non-resident waterfowl hunters to use a guide, but many are available and a high percentage of non-Canadian hunters utilize them. In addition black bear, Canada moose and whitetails are hunted throughout the province.
Alberta Hunting Information
Alberta is a large, diverse province with rolling prairies, farmland, river bottoms, Boreal forests, and large expanses of the northern Rocky Mountains. Many species of big game, waterfowl, upland game and predators inhabit Alberta. Long known for monster whitetails, Alberta also is home to big mule deer, pronghorn antelope, elk, black bear, cougar, Canada moose, and bighorn sheep. In fact, 7 of the 10 largest bighorn sheep in Boone and Crockett record book are from Alberta. In addition to big game, Alberta offers some top notch bird hunting. Serious waterfowlers know about the large flocks of ducks and geese that call Alberta home or migrate through.
