Montana elk and mule deer hunt
If you ever get the chance to have Carson Becker as your guide you won't be disappointed. He will work his a** off for you. Carson made my first hunt to Montana one I will never forget. I was able to harvest my first mule deer buck and my first bull elk with his help. I will follow Carson wherever he goes and I hope to use him again in the future. Thanks Carson...
Outfitter Response: Quote from hunter in email. Please let me tell you that this trip was a dream come true for my Dad and Myself. We were able to do something neither of us thought would ever happen and we were very successful. Neither of us has one complaint about the mule deer we took or the elk that my Dad took. I know a lot of guys who have gone out west and not had any success. So for us to fill 3 tags is probably unheard of and we are so fortunate and thankful." The hunters were in to 200 elk and over 50 mule deer every day.

Hunted for the eighth time with HVO. Due to the high winter kill of 2010/2011, I wasn't expecting much. Killed a nice 4X4 the first hour of the first day's hunt. As always, the food was first rate, and I had the same outstanding guide as last year, Jesse. Even though I tagged out on the first day, I rode along with another hunter the second day and we saw six 4X4's one of which was a beauty. There were enough young 4X4's that made it through the tough winter that the hunting next year should be good, barring another horrible winter dieoff.

Hidden Valley Outfitters- seventh hunt in 12 years
This was my SEVENTH hunt with HVO, and probably my best. The muleys were rutting, and the action was so fast, I passed up a 24" 4X4 the first morning. Saw 2 or 3 shooter bucks every day, and saw SEVEN 4X4's in one hour! Ended up shooting a very high racked and massive bodied 4X4 on day three, As always, the food was outstanding. Harriet, the cook is great in the kitchen. The outfitter, Tracy Weyer, shot a 330 class elk while I was there. Success rate was near or at 100%. I'll go back again soon.

Reviewer Comments: My hunting partner and I scheduled a whitetail hunt with Tracy Weyer (owner) for Oct. 2009. However, Tracy and I got our signals crossed and we each wrote down different dates. However, Tracy found us another date and we headed out to Montana. We arrived the evening before the hunt and met the guides Bubba and Chad and a couple of the hunters. Everyone was very friendly and relaxed. It turned out to be a very good group of guys. I hunted with Tracy the next morning and during our ride he gave me the opportunity to switch my hunt from whitetail to mule deer. With Tracy's guidance I chose to switch...it turned out to be a great decision as we got to stalk a good mulie rather than just sit in a blind. I tagged out on the first morning's hunt and Tracy videod the hunt. I tagged along with my hunting partner on his whitetail hunt the next morning and evening. He tagged out the next evening taking a very good 145 whitetail that weighed around 190 lbs. I found Tracy and his guides to be honest, fun loving, hard working guys who strive to give their clients a good hunt. If you are looking for a hunt with an honest outfitter, good guides and an opportunity to take a quality animal then give Tracy a call.

Reviewer Comments: My buddy and me did not get drawn for Antelope bucks so instead of cancelling this hunt we purchased 2 antelope doe tags apiece and went ahead with this hunt as planned in Oct 2009. We both tagged out on the first day. Had we had buck tags, we coud have easily filled those as well. Our guide was Terry, Tracey's brother. He did an excellent job of locating the antelope, and getting us in close enough for the shots. The tent camp was well set up and comfortable and Tracey's cooking was outstanding. A father/son team was also in camp and they filled one of their two buck antelope tags the first day. The son got sick though and they had to leave before filling the other tag.

Reviewer Comments: This was my first time in using a hunting guide. I found that Tracy and his team are very knowledgeable and work very hard to insure that their clients are successful. Bubba the guide worked his tail off helping me and couple other hunters harvesting quality muledeer.
