Big Disappointment
I hunted a cancellation hunt during the moose rut near Fort St. James. I only saw 2 moose the whole week. One of the two moose I saw was a cow crossing the road just before we got to the ranch the day before the start of the hunt. The only moose I saw out hunting the entire week that we hunted by boat around Airline lake, was a cow. The moose population is not very good in this outfitter's guide area and it was a total waste of money. To make matters worse, after my assigned guide hurt himself on his quad and the outfitter Paul Trepus substituted in for him on the last day of the hunt and we had paddled about a half a mile across a lake to a spot to call a bull, I heard the outfitter talking on his cellphone booking a spring bear hunt out in the field while we were supposedly hunting after seeing only the one moose earlier in the week. That was very sub-standard and unprofessional and it really disgusted me. The food at the remote camp was terrible. The hot shower that I so craved when I got back to the ranch from nearly a week in the bush without a shower was muddy, non-potable water. I cannot recommend this outfitter for moose hunting. You can do much better elsewhere.
Outfitter Response: Hi JT, This is Paul Trepus owner of Inzana Outfitters up here in Northern BC Canada. I believe that the review that John Dubois made with you is a false report of my operation. John had a issue with paying the Non Resident Hunt Preservation Fee that all members of GOABC have to charge and he had a dispute with the currency exchange from US funds to Canadian. He thinks that a random number off the internet is more accurate than the actual bank deposit rate. John is a lawyer in Florida and he was given an opportunity to present his argument to GOABC ethics Committee. His argument did not hold water. He then went to the internet to do me bad when I gave him an excellent first class hunt. John Dubois did not file a fair review. He did not mention all my wifs amazing cooking and that he tipped at the end of the hunt(she threw out his check though because she did not want his money or to ever see him in camp again), his excellent guide that worked had for him all week and that he tipped at the end of his hunt, the amazing cabin he stayed in with nice log furnature on a beautiful wilderness lake, solar lights and new honda motor on the boat. We sent John to a wilderness lake because the week before multiple bulls were seen on the lake. When John was there a grizzly was working the shore line and it seemed to have spooked the moose of the lake. That made for tough hunting

Reviewer Comments: My friend, Randy and I went to B.C. to try our luck at black ber hunting. To say we had a great hunt would be an understatement. We saw at least 20 black bears, and after a few unsuccessful stalks where we got busted by the wind, we did manage to get within range and we both got beautiful mature bears. Randy's was a nice chocolate bear that squared out at 6'3" and I connected on a black bear that measured 6'6" and made the mountain hunter record book with a skull measurement of 18 1/16". Paul Trepus is an excellent guide/outfitter and worked hard to make our hunt enjoyable and successful. I highly recomment him to anyone lookinf for a fair chase hunting adventure.

Reviewer Comments: This outfitter did exactly what he promised.Paul Trepus knew exactly where to find the bears every day.My bear was a chocolate brown that measured 6'3" and my hunting partner's was 6'6" and it's skull made it into the record book.Paul runs a clean honest operation, he will tell you exactly what to expect. If anyone plans to go on a bear hunt this is the place to go ,I have never been so impressed with an outfitter before. British Coumbia is strictly spot and stalk and we were both done by the third day.

Reviewer Comments: Went up to b.c. for a five day hunt, but due to my work schedule I was only able to go for four days.the first afternoon we sighted in our rifles and had a great dinner at the lodge. The second day up at 7:00am had breakfast and went hunting until about one walking old logging roads and glassing clear cuts. That is basicly how we hunted.the evening of the first night I shot a 250# jet black bear. And on the evening of the third night my son shot a 200# black bear with a white star on its chest with only 10 minutes left on our last hunt.Saw alot of bears and alot of bear sign in the area.Hans is one of the nicest guides I have ever met and is a twenty year veteren of the area.We are 100% satisfied with this outfitter

Illinois is widely known as a top trophy whitetail destination. Illinois also has some great waterfowl hunting, especially in southern portions of the state.
Oregon Hunting Information
Oregon is not known to be a trophy big game producing state. That said they do have good quantities of animals such as Elk.
Manitoba Hunting Information
Manitoba is known as a top destination for avid waterfowl hunters. Huge flocks of ducks and geese can be found from the Arctic coast of Hudson Bay to the prairie potholes on the southern border of this Canadian province. There is no legal requirement for non-resident waterfowl hunters to use a guide, but many are available and a high percentage of non-Canadian hunters utilize them. In addition black bear, Canada moose and whitetails are hunted throughout the province.
