DON'T GO......
Please use any outfitter but this one.......arranged a "dream" hunt for my father several years ago. This hunt was supposed to be an individual guided horseback hunt for two days. Spoke with Mrs. Luark several times to arrange everything, as my dad is from Pennsylvania and coming to Colorado to visit and hunt. They ended up having a successful hunt the day prior to my dad showing up and needed to carry out several downed elk sooooo they sent their son, who at the time was 14 to drop my dad off in the woods on a 4 wheeler and handed him a sandwich, bottle of water and walkie talkie and told him to call when he wanted to be picked up at the spot where he was dropped off. When he still hadn't arrived home and it was starting to get dark, we saw the son take off on a trail. Needless to say, their "base camp" radio had drained batteries and had failed to hear his calls for several hours for someone to go pick him up. When we heard what transpired on his "guided first day hunt" we packed his bags and headed home. I stopped payment on the check for the second day and was going to allow them to keep the first $500.00 we paid for the previous days treatment. Not only did they call the Eagle County Sheriff on me, they sued me in small claims court in Eagle County. When I presented all my documentation regarding the above to the judge, he not only made the Luarks reimburse me for the original deposit for the first day but also had them reimburse my father for his $500.00 out of state elk license and made them apologize to me for what they did. SO PLEASE GO ANYWHERE ELSE TO HUNT IN COLORADO BUT HERE.....THIS WAS MY DAD'S DREAM HUNT AND THIS IS WHAT TREATMENT HE RECEIVED FROM THEM!!!!!!

13th year hunting with the Luarks. A-Z complete hunting and accomadations. You tell them what you want and they deliver. Everytime. If you want to rough it, they can do it. If you want to be pampered, they can do that too.
