I have hunted with Mike Root now 5 times. planning on heading back in 2012. Great Guide - if you are looking for 5 star and to be waited on - move along. Mike's hunts are the real deal. Up an on horses or mules before sunrise and back after dark. Outstanding experience - like hunting was 100 years ago. I have taken my Sons and they can not wait to go back. I have hunted all over the world and love hunting with Mike.

Utah Hunting Information
Utah has recently been outstanding for trophy elk, but the best tags take many years to draw. Utah does have conservation tags available for purchase that allow hunters to bypass the drawing. Given the high demand for these premium tags prices can be high. In the past Utah has been a top trophy mule deer state but recently only a handful of units consistently produce B&C caliber deer.
Oregon Hunting Information
Oregon is not known to be a trophy big game producing state. That said they do have good quantities of animals such as Elk.
Arizona Hunting Information
Arizona has lots of trophy big game but is probably best known for its trophy elk and mule deer. This partially due to the limited number of tags available.
