Reviewer Comments: These guys work hard. I booked a hunt with them after doing some research and talking to Tim and references. I paid extra for a 1-on-1 hunt so my 10 year-old son could tag along. BE IN SHAPE. I had Conner pushing us up and down the mountains for the first 3 days of the hunt. The first afternoon we tracked right up to a bedded cow elk at 15 yards or so. Bumped another group about half a mile down the trail later, but never saw them. Saw a few mule deer during the hunt that were to small and several elk to far away. We were there for Thanksgiving week in 2008. Incredibly tough and thick country. Be advised that this is a public land hunt. We bumped into other hunters on 2 separate occasions and you also have to deal with the occasional road hunter. The animals are there, but weather and hunting pressure play a huge factor in that country. It was not as cold as we were hoping and there was not enough snow in lower elevations. These guys took great care of my son while we were there as well.

Reviewer Comments: I hunted with this outfitter in Sept 07 for elk. The owners son was my guide, who worked extremely hard to get us on an elk. We were in elk every day, although they weren't cooperating with us till the end of the week. Almost connected on the last day, but just wasn't offered a shot by the bull, which was only 30 yrds away. The experience was fantatistic. These guys worked very hard and were very considerate. Highly recomend these guys.

Reviewer Comments: Please do your research before spending this type of money on a hunt. Check references and talk to as many people as you can. This Outfitter boasts, and does not deliver on what is told to clients. Does not treat hunters in camp as a customer. You will be extremely lucky to spot anything besides other outfitters and their hunters excessively blowing bugle calls to try to impress. Tim Reishus would set me on a ridge and leave telling me that he needed to glass an area. After being left alone for hours went to look for him and found him sleeping on two occasions! There is so much more. Very few good points about the hunt with this outfitter. This is all about money to this outfitter, and not about delivering a quality hunt to his client.

Colorado Hunting Information
Colorado is one of the best western states for trophy mule deer hunting and has the largest population of elk in the west.
Arizona Hunting Information
Arizona has lots of trophy big game but is probably best known for its trophy elk and mule deer. This partially due to the limited number of tags available.
Utah Hunting Information
Utah has recently been outstanding for trophy elk, but the best tags take many years to draw. Utah does have conservation tags available for purchase that allow hunters to bypass the drawing. Given the high demand for these premium tags prices can be high. In the past Utah has been a top trophy mule deer state but recently only a handful of units consistently produce B&C caliber deer.
