turkey hunt
Hunt went very well. The farms we hunted had lots of birds and I had a terrific experience. The lodge was nice and clean and the guides where very friendly and put us in the birds but could not close the deal.

Great Hunt
I had a great hunt I have been to Muddy Bottom Outfitters Early Muzzleloader, Bow, Rifle, and Late Muzzleloader this season and seen plenty of deer each time I even had a chance at a 160 plus bow season, in three days last November we had four guys hunting and seen 41 different racked bucks!!!! This deer in the photo I shot there opening day of rifle, so I have nothing bad to say I will be back year after year!!!!! As of the buck I shot it is crazy I told him before season after seeing the deer on camera thats the one I wanted and Chris tried everything to put me on him and finally it paid off.

Had a GREAT hunt with Muddy Bottom Outfitters!!!
I hunted the first part of the rut Oct 31, Nov 1st and 2nd. My bow hunt, the first day I seen 8 bucks and 2 does, my second day 3 bucks and 13 does, and the last day I seen over 20 deer and 5 bucks for sure. Then I came back rifle season and seen deer every single hunt I lost count but I know with bow and rifle season I seen 7 bucks over 125 and a ten point that went over 160 but I was bow hunting and he only got within 80 yards. Bow season I had plenty of bucks within shooting distance but I was hunting the 160 I seen and a 140 plus inch 8 pointer I had at under 25 yards of me two days in a row just couldnt make it happen he was chasing a doe hard each day. Even tho I did not kill I had great hunting and will be back next year that is for sure, however my Uncle Brian shot a good managment buck opening day of rifle while we were down hunting rifle season and I could have killed bucks every single day but I want atleast a 135 inch buck or better before I shoot, even tho I seen them just never could make it happen. I can't wait to go back next season.

Muddy Bottom Outfitters Not What they Say They Are
The website originally and the owner had a local campsite with log cabins for lodging. The day I arrived at the new address I was given I found the lodging was now at the Guide/Owner of Muddy Bottoms parents house with very rickety bunk beds and the neccesity to share the family bathroom on the floor below . I also found out that the Owner/Guide to Muddy Bottom was only 19 years of age. The description on the website specifically addresses low pressure by limiting time on individual farms, and by only hunting 4 hunters per week. I sat the first morning in the same stand a hunter had sat the night before on his and his 3 buddies last night. There was only one 25 yard shooting lane available and no visible deer sign. I saw nothing. The afternoon hunt consisted of me being shown into a hardwood stand that hadn't been scouted by the guide so that I may find a suitable tree for my climber. I saw nothing. The young owner boasted of hunting almost everyday with some of his high school buddies on supposedly outfitter customer property. The website had a strictly 130" minimum but upon arrival I was told you could shoot anything I wanted. The website alludes to many repeat customers year after year but the owner/guide said it was only his second year guiding most likely because he was still in high school. This was a waste of time. I requested half of my $1000 back and got it. I would not re-visit this outfitter nor recommend him to anyone.
