Great hunt, great people, great food, I am going b
I had a quality hunt. I hunted Bull Mountains area 590 with Musselshell Outfitters and saw several bulls in the 340 to 380 inch range. I had a shot but could not connect. I am booking to go back in 2011 and try to get the big one. We saw one bull that would go over 400 inches and several hunters saw it. I was within 80 yards of this bull and the other smaller bulls in the 320 range were 10 yards of me but the big one was just out of range. This is a great area for big bulls and Randy knows how to get you in close for a shot. If you really like to hunt and have the patience you can take some quality animals in this area. We also chased some quality mule deer. I saw a 180 inch whitetail but my interest was really elk.

First deer
The hunt was fantastic! I took my daughters, ages 13 & 15, on their first deer hunt. I wanted them to have a good overall experience so that they would enjoy hunting and want to go each season. Musselshell Outfitters provided a very quality experience and more. Every facet of the hunt - camp, food, number of animals, guides - was first class! I think is says it all when, upon completion of the hunt, I asked each of my daughters to rate the hunt on a 1-10 scale with all things considered and each girl gave Musselshell Outfitters a "10." I was very pleased with Randy Higgins, his guide, doug and the entire experience as a whole. I have younger sons and when they are of age I will no doubt take them back to Musselshell Outfitters. Reviewer Comments: Total fraud. Randy has very little quality elk hunting ground if any. We hunted 1 square mile of public ground loaded with cattle. Guide just stuck you in a blind and left you there with no game around. one day we finally went to a different piece of property and all that was there were cattle. The guide left us setting around a pond watching cattle while he took a walk and he ended up getting lost. What a joke.

Reviewer Comments: We hunted hard in some breathtaking country. The view was worth trip alone, the deer hunting was great. Saw lot of animals, our camp got five really nice bucks. No complaints there. The staff went out of their way to make sure everyone a great time. The guides are hard working and do whatever possable to get you in front of quality Mule Deer. I went on two incredable stalks (once with my partner once for my own) both were sucessful and skillfully conducted. This was the second time I used Musselshell Outfitters, and I would use them again in heartbeat. (just for the record I didn't get a deer the first time but made up for it the second)

We all were treated like royality the entire time we were there. The staff went out of there way to make sure we we treated good. What was the most important to me was that Randy was in camp everyday ans night with us to make sure all of our needs were taken care of. I am already planning on my next hunt with Randy and Musselshell Outfitters

Reviewer Comments: What a great hunt.... I've been on a number of guided hunts in North and South America and this one rated right up there with the best of them. We saw a number of quality bucks and the guides knew how to get us into shooting range. Just to let you all know, where I live in Northern Maine, we have a lot of lodges and many more guides than most area's of the country and have a good handle on what it takes to do a guided hunt. Thanks Randy,Justin & Jim, I'd do it again

Reviewer Comments: Hunting antelope with my father, we killed ours on the first day. Guide showed us probably 200 antlope and took the 2 biggest ones. Both were good size with nice horns. getting both mounted. Our guide, Justin, has a good personallity and was great to hunt with. He was belly crawling right along with us to get into shooting range. Enjoyed the cooks company and sight seeing on the second day. Went bird hunting on the third day and spotted nearly 20 Elk at 150yrds. One was a 6x6 350+ Bull. spotted 2 groups of Meriums, one of which was albino and three very large Toms. Even though not huntin Mule deer, got within 200 yrds of 3 nice bucks. one had a ~26"-27" antler spread.

Reviewer Comments: My group of four hunters just returned from a 3-day antelope hunt with Musselshell Outfitters and it was an excellent experience. All the persons at Musselshell Outfitters, especially the owner Randy Higgins, did everything they could to make sure everyone in our group had a great experience. We saw literally hundreds of antelope on the hunt and many, many quality bucks. Three out of the four hunters in our group got bucks, the one that didn't had several opportunities, but wasn't able to close the deal. Don't let the negative reviews on the internet sway your opinion about Musselshell Outiftters. If you are looking for a fair chase hunt for quality game and a fun overall experience this is a great outfitter. If you are looking for a hunting lodge with nightly spa treatments, smoking cigars, a guaranteed kill and drinking cognac with the tassled loafer set, you should probably look somewhere else.

Iowa Hunting Information
Iowa is one of the best Midwestern states for monster whitetail bucks. Non-residents must apply for a tag in their annual drawing. Archery tags are the most sought after and depending on what units you apply for generally take 2-4 years to draw.
New Mexico Hunting Information
New Mexico is one of the top destinations for trophy Elk and Antelope hunting. Draw odds can be tough depending on the unit but landowner tags are also available for those who don't draw. Mule Deer are plentiful but generally of average size. Only a couple of units and reservations consistently produce big muleys.
Manitoba Hunting Information
Manitoba is known as a top destination for avid waterfowl hunters. Huge flocks of ducks and geese can be found from the Arctic coast of Hudson Bay to the prairie potholes on the southern border of this Canadian province. There is no legal requirement for non-resident waterfowl hunters to use a guide, but many are available and a high percentage of non-Canadian hunters utilize them. In addition black bear, Canada moose and whitetails are hunted throughout the province.
