Super Hunts with Mick
Mick and his sons took me on the Mountain Lion hunt of a lifetime. We say many tracks, but I wanted a lion over 150 pounds with a large head. We hunted, but it snowed 49 inches in the mountains so we had to move lower and lower to find tracks. Finally on the last day we crossed a track. The lion was going north, but as soon as we turned the dogs out and followed the lion recrossed the road and headed south. The lion jumped out once and went up a tree and jumped down a rock a second time. By the time he was treed the third time Mick wanted me to shoot the lion from a little range versus under the tree so I killed the lion at 80 or 90 yards with one shot from my 243. The hunt was super and the lion made a great mount. The food and friendly at home atmosphere makes hunting with the Chapels a wonderful experience.

Reviewer Comments: Promised primitive area only hunt(area 2B), he lied, this was a rifle area which was not to my expectations, out of ten hunters, one rag horn elk was shot. Guides made us road hunt the entire trip, walked only one time, and personally NEVER seen a single elk. All I seen all week was other hunters and roads. Mick promised us 300 class bulls and the guide informed us that a 300 class bull was very rare. Mick I have found will say anything to take your money, so if you feel like burning $5000 then give Mick a call, I DO NOT recommend this outfitter to my worst enemy!!!!!!

Reviewer Comments: Mick is passionate about hunting trophy animals, and has some of the finest guides in the state. You do need to be in shape to get the most out of your hunt. On a muzzleloader hunt, I took the 20th bull I saw in two and 1/2 days. Not the biggest bull we saw, but still a 300 inch bull. The bigger ones are out there! I plan on applying for a tag every year.

Reviewer Comments: Mick Chapel is the best. We hunted for antelope, bear & mulies. Damaging rains messed up the bear and mule deer hunts, but this was not Mick's fault. The antelope portion of our hunt was excellent. We have hunted with Mick many times and always have a great time. I have never hunted cats with him, but I can tell from pictures and other hunters that he is possibly the best cat outfitter in NM.

Illinois Hunting Information
Illinois is widely known as a top trophy whitetail destination. Illinois also has some great waterfowl hunting, especially in southern portions of the state.
Yukon Territory Hunting Information
The Yukon Territory is a legendary hunting destination. Hunters from all over the world travel to the Yukon for wilderness adventure hunting at its finest. This rugged, remote and beautiful province is nearly untouched by man. It is similar in size to the state of California but with a population of only about 30,000 residents. The Yukon is a vast, pristine wilderness that holds a tremendous variety of trophy game species. You should be in excellent physical condition to maximize your success and to enjoy the Yukon experience.
New Mexico Hunting Information
New Mexico is one of the top destinations for trophy Elk and Antelope hunting. Draw odds can be tough depending on the unit but landowner tags are also available for those who don't draw. Mule Deer are plentiful but generally of average size. Only a couple of units and reservations consistently produce big muleys.
