Great Outfitters
Dave Frampton and his crew were amazing! From the time my friend and I booked our hunt, he was extremely helpful in preparing us for our hunt, and very accommodating once we arrived. The lodging, food, experience, and willingness to work with us in any way, was exceptional! We went the second week of the rut, so we were unsure of what either of us might see. To my enjoyment, I witnessed several mature deer and interaction that I never saw before! Although I didn't harvest the buck I was looking for, I came home with better experience and lasting memories, as we all know there are a lot of factors when hunting! As Dave told us before we went out opening morning, you have to be willing to go home empty handed for the right deer or take the one you will be happy with. AND you have to hunt all day for it!! Which paid off for my friend, who harvested a beautiful 12 point! I highly recommend Dave and his guides to anyone looking for a professional guided hunt with many extras and much more!!

Reviewer Comments: I hunted this in 2007 had a good time mainly because of the guys we met in camp were a lot of fun.Didn't see or shoot anything worth while. I booked a hunt in febuary 08 for the first 5 days of rifle season for me and six buddys, sent in our money and was in contact with Rob over the summer only to have him call me in august and tell me he does'nt have room for us and we are SOL.No time left to book with another outfitter.Rob and I know a lot of the same people in the hunting and hunting/tv world. If he did this to me,Beware!also if you don't mind a bunch of kids running around the lodge and your guides wife breast feeding in front of you at dinner time then this is the place for you. Some of the guys we hunted with have still never received their deer heads that Rob promised to ship to them. This place used to be good from what I hear but a lot of people and organizations are looking else where to hunt.Rob advertises on his web site that it is (first come first served)this is not true we booked and paid in the spring only to have our hunt taken away. Still waiting on our refund let you know how that works out.

Reviewer Comments: WE WERE THERE FOR THE ARCHERY OPENER IN MID SEPTEMBER. WE PRETTY MUCH HUNTED A BED TO FEED PATTERN. THEY HAD US IN DEER EVERY TIME.THEY WATCH THE WIND AND ARE VERY PARTICULAR ABOUT GOING AND OUT OF STAND LOCATIONS. I SAW LOTS OF BUCKS, JUST NOT THE ONE I WAS LOOKING FOR. THERE WAS A 138 AND A 161 KILLED WHILE WE WERE THERE.I WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR!

Reviewer Comments: This is my fourth year hunting with NMO. depending on the rut and weather which no one can control the hunts have ranged from O.K. to fantastic. 2006 was fantastic bucks running everywhere and nearly every hunter in camp taking a very good buck, many their best ever. The guides were always there to pick up when promised and if your stand was not producing there seemed to be an endless supply of stands to choose from. I will be back there next year!

Reviewer Comments: I arrived in camp after a long drive at the designated arrival time only to be told that my room was not ready or cleaned yet and my sheets were being washed. After a couple of hours of waiting it was finally ready, they said, however upon entering the room the floors were dirty and the previous hunters trash was still in the waste can.The owner had let most of the food run out and had to make a run to town to get more, which was low quality compared to other camps I have been to.The first night was like being at a frat house party with people running up and down the halls outside the rooms screaming and practicing turkey calls until 2 a.m. The first morning out hunting we had at daylight several toms gobble but the guide would not call to them after they flew down, and when he did he would call so low that I could only slightly hear him behind me.So I began calling on my own and had a Tom respond hot,but the guide told me not to call anymore ,it would spook the gobbler !! I then saw the Tom at 30 yards coming around some brush where it would have presented a shot at 20 yards in a opening and my guide stands up and begans glassing the other end of a corn field !!!! Needless to say the bird was gone. The next day was worse as we set up again , my guide falls asleep only waking up when I tried calling to remind me not to call and spook the birds then he goes back to sleep!!!When ask about his experience, this was his first year guiding here for turkeys. When we got back to camp(MISSOURI ONLY ALLOWS TURKEY HUTING UNTIL 1 P.M.) I packed up and came home instead of hunting the third day with this guide that has less experience that I do.Not sure about the deer hunts this outfitter offers, but be carful which turkey guide you get and bring your own cooler of food!!!
