Elk hunt

My son and I were on a combo elk/deer/bear hunt. I shot a 6x6 bull with my bow. Saw more game than I ever saw on a hunt. Service was great would definitely recommend northern wilderness outfitters

Ripped Off

It was the most disappointing hunt I was ever on when the guide shows up to camp at the same time as you do you know it cant be good and when you are still working on the boat trailer at camp when you are suppose to be hunting 5 hrs away it cant be good and when you sit along a dirt road waiting for 4 and a half hours waiting on a ride home when you are suppose to be hunting or you got to river and it it 6-8 feet low and you spend more time dragging the canoe then hunting it cant be good or when you call the owner to talk about the hunt and he refuses to call you back I guess you know what kind of outfitter you have! New owners (money based) Was lied to about the amount of hunters up to the day I left. Some of the reference are investors and the guide will tell you how they are ready to quit if they dont get paid more and how different the place is since the new owners have it. On the bright side the lodge is beautiful and the women that take care of you are very nice so i guess if you want to go on a very expensive camping trip where you have no time schedule or care of seeing wildlife this is your hunt.

Outfitter Response: We are sorry that Mr. Marker was unhappy with his hunt. Our initial meeting with Mr. Marker at a show, where we took his deposit for a moose hunt, gave us an indication that he may be unsatisfied with any hunt. Mr. Marker returned several times during that week complaining that he had never had a good experience with any outfitter and we were concerned enough that we offered to return his deposit at that time. Our float trip is a true wilderness adventure, not a fenced hunt, and our guide, who specializes in Moose floats, is one that has been with us for over 30 years and is one of the best in the area. We have no control over weather or river conditions, and that particular week was unusually hot which affects wildlife movements. Mr. Marker did have an opportunity to harvest a bull moose that was called in by our guide but unfortunately his shot missed. He did enjoy some great walleye fishing while on his float trip while our guide continued to try to call in another moose for him. Mr. Marker did have a choice between our lodge hunt, with more comfortable accommodations and an easier hunt, compared to the wilderness float trip which is a more rugged adventure.

disappointing

I had been looking forward to this trip and saving for this trip for months. I have been on countlees other trips prior to this. I would never use this outfitters again or recommend this outfitter to anyone. The hunt was poorly planned. This six day hunt only resulted in three days of hunting due to no preparation for my arrival. Even more upsetting is the fact that after mutliple attempts to contact the owner /operator to discuss the hunt....they have refused to return any calls or speak with me. Do not use this outfitter until the problems are corrected. You will be extremely disappointed.

Had a Great Experience with this outfitter, For the Price of this hunt I had Very high Expectations! I expected the Lodge to be as pictured on the brochure, very knowledgable Guides, A GREAT Hunting / Vacation Experience. I would have to say my trip exceeded my Expectations. the Hunting was Awsome and my Guide (Weldon) was Great! After Hunting Pennsylvania bucks for 30 plus years, I was Overwhelmed by the Size and Quantity of Big Bucks, Passing on big bucks is very new to me! I scored a Great Buck. Wow! what a Great and Enjoyable trip. I would highly Recommend Northern wilderness outfitters and plan on going back in 2012.

Worst hunt I have ever been on. Started bad for day one and never got better. When i booked this hunt it was supposed to be a spot and stalk hunt with my bow on farm land.. Never even got my bow out of the case. Turned out to be a pickup truck hunt. Drive around for hours on end untill you see a bear then jump out and shoot. I was told we whould have multiple chances for stalks which was a load of crap. Saw three bear all week. Guides were very nice ad nfood was good but that was the extent the hunt. $4000 black bear hunt I expect top of the line. As bad as it was everyone still had a chance at a bear. After flying home we found the the guides didnt pack all the skulls with the hides ane after takeing the hides to the taxadermist he was very upset about all the cuts in the hide that needed to be repaired. This was as low as it gets.

British Columbia Hunting Information

British Columbia is an excellent hunting destination that offers a wide variety of game species. Vast wilderness areas and pristine coastlines provide world class adventure hunting for those seeking that trip of a lifetime. BC is arguably best known for big coastal black bears, Canada moose, grizzly bear, mountain lion, Dall sheep and Stone sheep. Hunters can book a hunt with an outfitter and avoid the license drawing process common in most U.S. states.

Utah Hunting Information

Utah has recently been outstanding for trophy elk, but the best tags take many years to draw. Utah does have conservation tags available for purchase that allow hunters to bypass the drawing. Given the high demand for these premium tags prices can be high. In the past Utah has been a top trophy mule deer state but recently only a handful of units consistently produce B&C caliber deer.

Manitoba Hunting Information

Manitoba is known as a top destination for avid waterfowl hunters. Huge flocks of ducks and geese can be found from the Arctic coast of Hudson Bay to the prairie potholes on the southern border of this Canadian province. There is no legal requirement for non-resident waterfowl hunters to use a guide, but many are available and a high percentage of non-Canadian hunters utilize them. In addition black bear, Canada moose and whitetails are hunted throughout the province.
