Reviewer Comments: First time in Alaska. Had four in our group. Purchased the Caribou hunt...but upon arrival were informed that Caribou herds in area have been dwindling, and ones left had already been through the area. Thus, the owners offered us a brown/black bear hunt instead...FOR THE SAME PRICE (Plus the cost of the brown bear license)! Two of us bought licenese, while other two of us could shoot black bear with our caribou license (good rule in Alaska). This was a great deal, and showed great integrity on part of the outfitter. We split into two groups of two, one group missed 400lb black bear, other group saw 900lb brown two days in a row, but could not get close enough for shot. Near end of week, we split up and flew out of lodge to spike camps...to change focus to cow caribou to at least bring home meat. Two of four of us were successful on cow caribou. The guides were great, the staff at the lodge were awesome, and the integrity of the owners makes me very comfortable to recommend this camp anytime. Just call ahead and ask about caribou if that is your goal. Otherwise, great spot for bear or moose....

Reviewer Comments: This was my first time hunting AK. I was 1x1 and my guide seemed like he could spot Bou without bino's and tell me if and where the big bull was. Osprey also goes as far as packing your meat in boxes that can be put on the plane as they have a freezer at the lodge. You don't have to worry about finding someone to do it for you. Tim Voiss

Iowa Hunting Information

Iowa is one of the best Midwestern states for monster whitetail bucks. Non-residents must apply for a tag in their annual drawing. Archery tags are the most sought after and depending on what units you apply for generally take 2-4 years to draw.

New Mexico Hunting Information

New Mexico is one of the top destinations for trophy Elk and Antelope hunting. Draw odds can be tough depending on the unit but landowner tags are also available for those who don't draw. Mule Deer are plentiful but generally of average size. Only a couple of units and reservations consistently produce big muleys.
