black bear
THIS IS THE FIRST BEAR HUNT WITH CHRIS AT PINE ACRES. I HAVE HUNTED WHITTAIL THERE TWICE BEFORE. CHRIS IS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND WORKS HARD TO GIVE YOU AN OPPORTUNITY AT A TROPHY ANIMAL. CHRIS IS ABLE TO WORK PATIENTLY WITH FIRST TIME HUNTERS AS WELL AS THOSE WHO THINK THEY KNOW ALL:) I HAVE NOT HUNTED ANYWHERE THAT THE STAFF MAKES YOU FEEL MORE AT HOME ARE WORKS HARDER TO PUT YOU ON THE GAME SPECIES YOU ARE AFTER. LOTTIE IS A TERRIFIC COOK AND MAKES EXCELLENT MEALS. SHE ALSO KNOWS WHERE TO GO FISHING. THIS IS A FIRST CLASS OPERATION AND VERY AFFORDABLE.

Great Hunt
This was my first time hunting with Pine Acres. My guide was Saxon who did a great job. Our cabin had seven hunters and we took six bears. Our seventh guy missed a shot. Many bears were sighted. The biggest bear shot in camp this week was around 600 lbs. I've bear hunted since 1970 and it was the biggest bear I have ever seen. I would highly recommend this bear camp and have already booked for next year. These guys are real pros at bear hunting.
Outfitter Response: Greg, it was a pleasure having you in our bear camp during the fall 2012. Greg harvested a nice black bear the first week of the season. His group bagged 6 bear's out of 7 hunters in his group. The 7th hunters grazed his bear. The week greg was here we had a near 100% success!! See You in August 2013, Pine Acres Bear Camp

Great Hunts
great hunt for the money. Chris does a fantastic job with the bait sites. All the baits were active. Of 21 hunters in camp 16 had bears by the end of the 4th day. Chris has a huge bear concession so there is no pressure on the bears. Food is excellent and accomodations great. Can't beat this for the price. Talked to hunters on the way home from Wisconsin who hunted north of us at Red Lake. They paid considerabley more and shot small bears. Our bears ranged from 150 lbs to 600 lbs with most 250 on up. This was my fourth hunt with Chris and Lottie and I am going back next year.
Outfitter Response: Thanks Gary, I really enjoy seeing your group each year!! I can give great hunts at great prices because of the limited guided hunts that I offer. Hunters drive themselves to their bait sites and back to base camp each day. Of course we use our equiptment to retreive the bears. We also track the animals. Gas station is less than a mile from camp. Thanks Gary for picking us as your outfitter, Chris.

DOUBLE WHAMMY
MY HUSBAND OF 32 YEARS AND MYSELF DECIDED TO DO A BEAR HUNT. MADE A GREAT CHOICE IN CHRIS @ PINE ACRES OUTFITTERS, VERMILLION BAY, ONTARIO,CANADA ON THE THIRD DAY OF OUR HUNT WE WENT OUT TO OUR STANDS ABOUT 11;30 WE SAT THE AFTERNOON AWAY AND AT 6:30 I HAD A BEAR COME IN TO MY BAIT. IT WALKED RIGHT PAST IT AND SLOWLY PROCEEDED TO WITHIN 2 FEET OF THE BOTTOM RUNG ON MY TREE STAND. MY HEART STARTED TO PUMP A LITTLE. IT THEN SLOWLY MADE IT'S WAY BACK TO THE BAIT AND STARTED EATING. IT STOOD UP HUGGING THE BUCKET OF BAIT. I WAITED FOR IT TO DROP BACK ON ALL FOURS AND IT GAVE ME A GREAT BEHIND THE SHOULDER QUARTERING AWAY SHOT. AS I SAT IN MY TREE STAND LISTENING TO THE SOUND OF HIS BELLOWS GETTING LIGHTER AND LIGHTER I KNEW I HAD MADE THE SHOT. WITHIN 10 MINUTES I HEARD A GUNSHOT FROM MY HUSBANDS AREA. KNOWING HE WAS ABOUT 3 MILES FROM ME, AND THE ONLY OTHER ONE OUT THERE I HOPED HE HAD GOTTON ONE TOO. SURE INDEED WE FOUND OURSELVES WITH 2 BEARS, MINE 250# AND JEFF'S 350# AND BOTH OF US WERE VERY EXCITED AND HAPPY WITH OUR HUNT. BACK AT THE CAMP THE NEXT FEW DAYS MOST OF THE GROUPS THERE HAD GOTTEN SOME BEARS AND SOME EVEN FILLED UP. ONE OF THEM BAGGED A CINNAMON AND ANOTHER A 600# BEAST!!!! LOVED OUR ADVENTURE AND WOULD RECOMMEND PINE ACRES TO ANYONE. THEY TRUELY WORK HARD TO GET YOU A BEAR.
Outfitter Response: Jackie and her husband booked at the All Canada show in Green Bay Wi. They both harvested their bear's the first afternoon. It was a pleasure having these two as clients, they listened to their guide Saxon and it paid off with 2 trophies. The week they were here we had a near 100%. Congratulations Jackie on a job well done!!

Great experience
Excellent outfitter from the accodations to the tree stands and wild wilderness you will spend the week hunting. His willingness to listen to any concerns and try and help. The outfitter has excellent stand sites all located far away from eacj other. All hunters saw bears, most saw a mother with cubs and everyone had a opportunity to shoot at a bear. The experience is something I will never forget, whether the two cubs climbing my trees stand or the trophy black bear I managed to kill. Chris does an outstanding job supporting the customer YOU!
Outfitter Response: Ed harvested a 18 year old (Ministry of Natural Resources aged the bear), 475 pound P&Y bear. He harvested his bear the very last hour of his hunt. He and his partner both had earlier opportunities at bear's. Thanks for picking us as your outfitter Ed, Chris.

New Mexico Hunting Information
New Mexico is one of the top destinations for trophy Elk and Antelope hunting. Draw odds can be tough depending on the unit but landowner tags are also available for those who don't draw. Mule Deer are plentiful but generally of average size. Only a couple of units and reservations consistently produce big muleys.
Yukon Territory Hunting Information
The Yukon Territory is a legendary hunting destination. Hunters from all over the world travel to the Yukon for wilderness adventure hunting at its finest. This rugged, remote and beautiful province is nearly untouched by man. It is similar in size to the state of California but with a population of only about 30,000 residents. The Yukon is a vast, pristine wilderness that holds a tremendous variety of trophy game species. You should be in excellent physical condition to maximize your success and to enjoy the Yukon experience.
Manitoba Hunting Information
Manitoba is known as a top destination for avid waterfowl hunters. Huge flocks of ducks and geese can be found from the Arctic coast of Hudson Bay to the prairie potholes on the southern border of this Canadian province. There is no legal requirement for non-resident waterfowl hunters to use a guide, but many are available and a high percentage of non-Canadian hunters utilize them. In addition black bear, Canada moose and whitetails are hunted throughout the province.
