caution!
Hunted with this outfit. 2 of 3 guides in camp were raging alcoholics.Needless to say, not a safe hunt and didn't see a moose all week. We hunted hard each day. Stay away....find a more professional outfitter who will earn their money!

Moose hunt with Portland Creek Outfitters
Hunted the first week of rifle season September 12, 2010. Saw a lot of small bulls and cows the first few days. Saw over 20 moose total in 3 days of hunting. Shot a 7 point bull on day 3. I should of held out for a bigger one but didn't want to go home with nothing. Only 2 of us in camp and the other hunter got a 11 point 42" bull on day 5. Walked several miles every day. Good boots and raingear a must. Look forward to going back someday.

Reviewer Comments: Tough hunt you have to be in great shape, long days and alot of walking and climbing. Your equipment has to be top notch.Weather always a factor, rain all of the time and fog. Wind is a constant factor. Bowhunters beware. Its all worth it , you will have a great hunt if you put in the time and walk the miles. Saw all kinds of caribou, moose during the calling season is the only way to get the trophy bull. Forget about bear hunting it is a waste of time at this camp. The camp cook was the worst and so was the food. Over all it is worth the time and money. You want the fly in camps , this area is good for another three to four years after that book somewhere else.

Iowa Hunting Information
Iowa is one of the best Midwestern states for monster whitetail bucks. Non-residents must apply for a tag in their annual drawing. Archery tags are the most sought after and depending on what units you apply for generally take 2-4 years to draw.
Wyoming Hunting Information
Wyoming is a great state for hunters! It offers a wide variety of good big game, turkey, small game, upland and predator hunting.
Kansas Hunting Information
Kansas is one of the top producing monster whitetail buck states in the country. It also has some excellent turkey hunting and a few big mule deer in the western part of the state. Kansas has an excellent reputation as a top notch destination for upland birds. It has excellent populations of pheasant and quail due to the vast expanse of suitable prairie and grassland type habitat.
