Rader Lodge Deer hunt
Rader Lodge offers a good value for the dollar spent in todays outfitting business. With a variety of hunts ther is something for every hunting interest. Pheasant, Quail, Waterfoul, Deer and Turkey abound in the breadbasket setting of central Kansas as well as top shelf fishing. If I did not see it with my own eyes I would not have believed the abundance of wild Turkey. I saw over 300 Turkey from a treestand overlooking a cut sunflower field. I also saw over 60 deer on one drive that looked like a heard of Caribou as they fled a treed draw. This was a rifle deer hunt with a 100% shot opportunitey. The crew at Rader Lodge do there best to provide a good experience for all there guests. The lodge is rustic and located in the heart of some of the best game country in central Kansas. I saw rub lines that had the bowhunter in me drooling for a rut hunt with Jeff Rader. If you want a mint on your pillow look elswhere but if you want a good hunt with a good value the folks at Rader Lodge have a good bang for your BUCK.

Awesome Phesant Hunting
I tooks some customers out to Kansas from Florida where I was born and raised. Having never been to Kansas I didn't know what to expect. When I arrived at Rader Lodge I knew it was going to be a great trip. The club has a family feel, with a large media room and big screen, leather sectionals for post-hunt naps, Chief the on-site cook had delicious and creative meals that were eaten family style at large tables. Jeff Rader treats you like family. Book now!! see you there!

Response to Huett Review
I read Mr Huett's review of Rader Lodge and have to disagree with his review. I was also hunting at Rader Lodge when Mr. Huett showed up for his hunt. It was obvious that he must have been drinking on his 600 mile trip, because he was intoxicated when he arrived. That evening while we were eating dinner I asked about Mr. Huett and was told he had past out in his room, thus missing an excellent supper prepared by the staff. The next morning it was raining and 30 to 40 mph gusts, which would explain the challenge of hunting for turkey. For the safety of the other hunters and the community I applaud Mr Rader's decision to ask Mr Huett to leave the Lodge. ALCOHOL AND HUNTING DOES NOT MIX! I had an outstanding hunt!

Turkey hunt disappointment
Great disappointment, wasted 600 hundred miles to "lodge". Signed up for hunt at the Big Buck Classic in Little Rock, AR and was told would be a guided hunt with full video. Meals and lodging to be provided by outfitter. Arrived at former hotel, not met by outfitter, put into a room by the cleaning staff. Outfitter arrived several hours later. Spent four hours riding around with outfitter listening for turkeys only to be told that he was not authorized to hunt any of the places he took me. Outfitter dropped me off 45 miles from the "lodge" where I sat on a plastic bucket for 7 hours and never heard a bird! Never provided a meal. Son traveled with me intending to fish, but was left afoot since I had to hunt on my own without a guide. The only positive thing I can say about this experience is that Mr Rader did refund my money when he realized how unhappy I was with being misled.
Outfitter Response: this guy was drunk when he showed, drunk when he was shown the areas the nite before the hunt,he was put out in a rain storm and know turkeys showed or gobbled. rain. and he was causing problems for me at the lodge and it was best he left. why else would i refund a deposit? Out fitters that already have glowing reports in your system should be givin a chance to respond before damaging reports are psoted. i have 5 witnesses. jeff rader

Pheasant Hunt at Rader Lodge
Greatly enjoyed my pheasant hunt experience in Glenn Elder, KS with Rader Lodge. The lodge was comfortable, rustic. The food was very good and more than ample. The people and guides were very friendly and helpful. The hunting was everything I'd hoped for with plenty of excitement with each point. I look forward to next year and going with Rader Lodge again.

Great Hunt at Rader Lodge
Great bang for the buck! Hunted six days. Saw deer everyday including bucks in the 150"-160" range. Private property, secure ladder stands, lots of deer and turkey. Lodge was comfortable and food was excellent. Connected with my buck on the sixth afternoon after he passed by out of range during the morning hunt. Lots of rut activity. Overall an excellent experience that I will repeat in the future.

New Mexico Hunting Information
New Mexico is one of the top destinations for trophy Elk and Antelope hunting. Draw odds can be tough depending on the unit but landowner tags are also available for those who don't draw. Mule Deer are plentiful but generally of average size. Only a couple of units and reservations consistently produce big muleys.
Utah Hunting Information
Utah has recently been outstanding for trophy elk, but the best tags take many years to draw. Utah does have conservation tags available for purchase that allow hunters to bypass the drawing. Given the high demand for these premium tags prices can be high. In the past Utah has been a top trophy mule deer state but recently only a handful of units consistently produce B&C caliber deer.
Ohio Hunting Information
Ohio is best known for its trophy whitetail deer. In fact, the world record non-typical whitetail was harvested in Greene county by Mike Beatty in November 2001,
