2013 3rd season elk
SJO has been sold to his 2 top guides. I hunted with Jesse Bauer. Very knowledgeable and good caller. Hunts hard from dawn to dusk. Unfortunately did not see any mature bulls, all 4x4 & 5x4. Saw a total of 69 elk for the week which is great. Standard tent camp with comfortable cots and pretty good food. Weather was too good and did not get significant snow to kick the migration into high gear. Saw a few other hunters during the week but they were weekend warriors trying to shoot an elk from horseback. 2nd week hunters killed nice 5x5's Good outfitter, I would hunt with them again.

Reviewer Comments: I have hunted with Tom and Cheri for six of the last seven years. I chose them originally after talking to dozens of outfitters. I was looking for an outfitter who understood archery hunting. I was also looking for an outfit that specialized in a wilderness hunt. San Juan Outfitting fit the bill on both counts. I was not looking for an easy hunt, but a rewarding experience in a wild, backcountry setting with people I felt comfortable with. I have never been dissapointed.

Utah Hunting Information
Utah has recently been outstanding for trophy elk, but the best tags take many years to draw. Utah does have conservation tags available for purchase that allow hunters to bypass the drawing. Given the high demand for these premium tags prices can be high. In the past Utah has been a top trophy mule deer state but recently only a handful of units consistently produce B&C caliber deer.
Saskatchewan Hunting Information
Saskatchewan is home to giant whitetails and skies filled with waterfowl. Saskatchewan is located in the northern part of the central flyway and harbors huge numbers of migrating ducks and geese. Canada moose and black bear are plentiful. Hundreds of outfitters are available to provide whatever kind of hunt a guy or gal needs.
Arizona Hunting Information
Arizona has lots of trophy big game but is probably best known for its trophy elk and mule deer. This partially due to the limited number of tags available.
