Reviewer Comments: My friend & I paid extra for guided fishing and did not receive a guide and were given a 16' boat w/pull start 30hp motor & no depth finder to fish a lake we knew nothing about. Bear hunting was very poor. I did not see a single bear in 5 days and my friend saw just 1 bear, a small one. Glen blamed weather for the bad luck, but I am blaming the fact that the bait sights were not properly baited, by using very little bait, if any.

Reviewer Comments: It was a beautiful camp with great people and accomidations. The problem was, we sat for 6 hours per day for 5 days and only saw 3 bears between 4 hunters. In the past, they have had much better results than this year. It was warm and there was a tremendous amount of food(ie berries in the bush. We shot a 200 lb. brown color phase bear, saw what was estimates at a 400+ lb. bear, and had one hunter pass on a smaller bear.

Alberta Hunting Information
Alberta is a large, diverse province with rolling prairies, farmland, river bottoms, Boreal forests, and large expanses of the northern Rocky Mountains. Many species of big game, waterfowl, upland game and predators inhabit Alberta. Long known for monster whitetails, Alberta also is home to big mule deer, pronghorn antelope, elk, black bear, cougar, Canada moose, and bighorn sheep. In fact, 7 of the 10 largest bighorn sheep in Boone and Crockett record book are from Alberta. In addition to big game, Alberta offers some top notch bird hunting. Serious waterfowlers know about the large flocks of ducks and geese that call Alberta home or migrate through.
