Black Bear
A friend and I traveled from Kansas to hunt Black Bear. We were a little skittish riding the horses, but with Len and the guides help we had a great ride in and out. The thrill of the hunt was all a person could dream for. Our guide (Chrissy) did a great job getting me on a bear the second full day of the hunt. Our camp cook (Jeremiah) did a great job cooking (always had more than enough), getting the horses ready and helped me get the bear out of an area that was 85% grade for a few hundred yards. We spotted several really nice bears but was unable to reach some of them due to the terrain. We spent a few hours fishing and caught a meal of Cutthroat Trout at one of the lakes. Like all hunting trips we can't control the weather and had one day it rained for 26-27 hours straight. The only thing I wish we had in camp was a cot to sleep on. If I ever pursue another black bear I will be in contact with Len to see what he has to offer

Wilderness Pack Trip for Photography and Fishing
Not a hunt. Was pack trip for photography and fishing in the wilderness. ranch house is rustic, but homey. Sleeping quarters for guests are simple, clean, and comfortable. Showers are hot and beds were clean. Did not go into back country due to wife's fear of heights. The country is more rugged than we anticipated. In lieu of pack trip, had wonderful fishing float trip and guided tours by Len Howells. Len's breakfast sourdough pancakes are superb.

great hunt experience
Two of us traveled from south eastern PA to Silverbow Outfitters in NW MT in late Oct 2014 in the hopes of taking a bull elk and fill our deer tag. We were met by Len Howells, who set us up in his bunk house. The lodging was clean and neat, and appointed just as he described. The accommodations were comfortable, showers hot, and lit and heated with propane, all as we expected. Meals were prepared by cook Bonnie, and were more than I expected. Her cooking was top shelf, and not once was I or any of the other hunters at the table unsatisfied. All meals ended in an over the top desert. Our five day hunt usually began with glassing as I signed for a spot & stalk, and our guide Len, was top notch. His background as a trapper absolutely gave me the confidence that he not only knew how to scout game, but to get me on it.. which he did! Without tracking snow, and a number of days of foggy weather, it was difficult to get on the large bull's. I did however tag a nice muley and plan on doing another archery hunt fall of 2015. Was I happy? Yea.. that's why I'm planning another 2500 mile trip to Libby MT.

Iowa Hunting Information
Iowa is one of the best Midwestern states for monster whitetail bucks. Non-residents must apply for a tag in their annual drawing. Archery tags are the most sought after and depending on what units you apply for generally take 2-4 years to draw.
Ontario Hunting Information
Ontario is often considered a sportsman's paradise. This large province contains huge sections of wilderness, filled with thousands of lakes that provide excellent habitat for Canada moose and black bear. Excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, muskie, smallmouth bass and other species can often be combined with a hunt. From spike camps to 5-star lodges, there are lodges, guides and outfitters for every adventure and every taste.
New Mexico Hunting Information
New Mexico is one of the top destinations for trophy Elk and Antelope hunting. Draw odds can be tough depending on the unit but landowner tags are also available for those who don't draw. Mule Deer are plentiful but generally of average size. Only a couple of units and reservations consistently produce big muleys.
