Youth Hunt
We hunted the youth hunt in 2016. It was a tough hunt due to the weather and with only 2 days to seal the deal we couldn't get it done. We did have our chances but luck was not on our side. We had a mid 140s buck that my son didn't feel he had an ethical shot in front of us at 100 yards. (vitals covered) by trees and all he could see was the butt, gut and antlers. He missed a nice 120 class buck on the last day. Our guide Cody was very friendly. He did show up late on the second morning and we got to the stand later then planned but this did not effect our hunt. My only concern was that he could have given more information to us on the stands we were hunting. Overall the food was good, lodging was Excellent and the owners are very nice. I will definitely go back.

First Trip
I had a great time on my first trip with Sunfish Valley outfitters. Guide Andrew Wilburn worked hard to give us every opportunity to get a chance at a big deer. The one thing that he couldn't control (the Weather) proved to be very challenging. I look forward to returning,

OHIO WHITETAIL
The weather was terrible; highs in the mid 80s with high winds and heavy rain. The game cameras showed many trophy bucks that were not coming out of heavy cover until after dark.

Trophy of a Lifetime
I have nothing but great things to say about Sunfish Valley Whitetails. Matt & Brock have a first class setup. The accommodations and food were excellent and we loved the family atmosphere and involvement. Our guide John Yost was honest, friendly and did all he could to ensure we had an enjoyable and successful hunt. I was unsure about taking my 8 year old son on a paid hunt but he was treated just as any of the other grown men and given the same opportunities. On the second afternoon he harvested a 159 inch 13 point trophy and can't wait to go back!! Cole's trophy can be seen on Sunfish Valley web site once the 2013 gallery has been uploaded. I have hunted with several outfitters and I highly recommend Sunfish Valley.

First Rate Outfitter!
The Sunfish Valley Whitetails crew exceeded my expectations on this hunt. The owners are professional, personable, and responsible. Communications with the owner via email and phone were timely and thorough. My guide was prepared, on time, and organized. When I showed up he had already conducted an analysis of bucks showing up at all stand sites, was knowledgeable about timing, wind direction, shared trail cam pics, etc. He also worked HARD for me, going as far as moving ladder and hang-on stands on multiple occasions to try to better my odds. I felt like he genuinely wanted me to have the best experience possible. Arrowed a buck on the second day of the hunt and a doe on the third. I was completely hands off as my guide took care of everything from field dressing to quartering the meat for me to take home (even as I insisted on helping). I was impressed from beginning to end (coordination, in-processing, lodging, professionalism, organization, # of deer on stand, etc.) and would have had the same feelings even if I hadn't shot a deer. There may have been as many as 12 hunters in the camp that week and everybody seemed to be equally as satisfied. I would recommend this outfitter to anybody.

awesome outfitters
I have taken a group of hunters to sunfish valley whitetails for the third year.I have been on whitetail hunts in Iowa,Missouri and Pennsylvania. They are by far the best I have hunted with from Matt,Brock and right down through the the guides and the cooks and lodging. They are fantastic. They treat you like family and they have plenty of big bucks. They go all out to put you on one. We have had really great success with our group.

Late Season Muzzleloader Hunt Review
I booked a late season muzzleloader hunt at Sunfish Valley after hearing through several sources that they were an exceptional outfitter. I was not disappointed! From the moment I arrived until I left, I was impressed with the accomodations, the guides, the owner, and the entire operation. I have been on many hunts in many places, I've seen it done right, and unfortunately, I've seen it done wrong. Matt Brewster and his team at Sunfish put you on 15000 acres of privately owned land, where you will hunt some of the best quality whitetails in the world. Their attention to detail, coupled with a genuine desire to put you in a position to shoot the biggest buck of your life is only outweighed by their down home hospitality. I would highly recommend Sunfish Valley Whitetails to anyone that is looking for the real deal, run by great people.

Patience can pay off
This was my fourth time hunting with SVW, and my first deer harvested with them. I kept going back because they have big deer. Even though you pay good money to hunt with an outfitter, it's still hunting, and these big mature whitetails don't get big by being stupid. It's not an easy task to get on a shooter buck during a 3 day or 5 day hunt. It's one of the few places where you have a legitimate chance of seeing a 200+ inch buck...150"-160" deer are the norm. Don't expect to see a lot of deer though. Due to the country and the terrain, you aren't going to see dozens of deer. The guides are great, and they know what they are doing. Even though sometimes it seems like they are being nonchalant, you have to trust them and their judgement...eventually it will pay off, and you will get your opportunity- even if it takes multiple trips. The food is fantastic and the lodging is great...what more can you ask for? I was fortunate enough to finally harvest a good buck at SVW...a 154 inch beauty...and even at that, it happened in the last 3 or 4 minutes of my hunt, during my fourth trip hunting with them. Patience can (and will) pay off.

First guided hunt
Great outfitter! Top notch service. Great food. Guide Andrew Willburn went above and beyond all expectations! Knowledge of the deer and land was unreal. All in all a very good experience
note: The following reviews predate the numeric rating system and are not included in this outfitter's overall rating.
British Columbia Hunting Information
British Columbia is an excellent hunting destination that offers a wide variety of game species. Vast wilderness areas and pristine coastlines provide world class adventure hunting for those seeking that trip of a lifetime. BC is arguably best known for big coastal black bears, Canada moose, grizzly bear, mountain lion, Dall sheep and Stone sheep. Hunters can book a hunt with an outfitter and avoid the license drawing process common in most U.S. states.
Quebec Hunting Information
Quebec is probably best know as an excellent caribou hunting destination. Hunters from across the globe travel to Quebec to hunt their big Quebec-Labrador caribou migration. In addition to caribou hunting, Quebec offers black bears, Canada moose and whitetails.
Yukon Territory Hunting Information
The Yukon Territory is a legendary hunting destination. Hunters from all over the world travel to the Yukon for wilderness adventure hunting at its finest. This rugged, remote and beautiful province is nearly untouched by man. It is similar in size to the state of California but with a population of only about 30,000 residents. The Yukon is a vast, pristine wilderness that holds a tremendous variety of trophy game species. You should be in excellent physical condition to maximize your success and to enjoy the Yukon experience.
