Great hunt at The Quail Shed

Had a good hunt at the quail shed. These guys work hard to get you on deer. The week I was there everyone was seeing bucks. I killed a great buck half way through my hunt. Can't wait to go back. Lodging was a farm house and the cook did a good job. Had a breakfast and lunch packed for the hunters and a good hot meal everynight. Headed back next year with a couple buddies.

Hunted with Clifford and the Quail Shed in Nov of 2010. Great hunt, killed a nice buck on the 3rd day. They have some really good farms and know how to hunt them. I'm going back next year and can't wait.

Species Hunted: Whitetail Deer

Game Quality: 90% of Bucks Were 140"+

Accommodation Quality: Great

Camp Condition: Great

Food Quality: Good

Guide Experience: Good

Other Personal Experience: Good

Overall Impression: Best bowhunt I have ever experienced

Recommend: Absolutely. In a heartbeat

Reviewer Comments: I hunted at The Quail Shed the second week of November 2009, and it was the best bowhunt I have ever been on. Almost every buck I saw was 140 inches or bigger. I shot the biggest buck ever with a bow on this hunt. The lodging and food was great. Clifford Neams is the manager and was my guide, and he knows the property as well as the bucks. Do what he says, and you will not be dissapointed. If anyone wants a great Illinois whitetail bowhunt, call Clifford at The Quail Shed. You will not regret it.

Alberta Hunting Information

Alberta is a large, diverse province with rolling prairies, farmland, river bottoms, Boreal forests, and large expanses of the northern Rocky Mountains. Many species of big game, waterfowl, upland game and predators inhabit Alberta. Long known for monster whitetails, Alberta also is home to big mule deer, pronghorn antelope, elk, black bear, cougar, Canada moose, and bighorn sheep. In fact, 7 of the 10 largest bighorn sheep in Boone and Crockett record book are from Alberta. In addition to big game, Alberta offers some top notch bird hunting. Serious waterfowlers know about the large flocks of ducks and geese that call Alberta home or migrate through.
