Whitetail Hunt

Turtle River Whitetails is a Hunters Dream. Prime hunting habitat along with great stand placement provided me with excellent opportunity to harvest a mature buck. Owners and guides are really great guys and make you feel like family. Will definitely return again in 2014 season.

great hunt

If you are looking for a great hunt then this is the place for you. I have been hunting with Turtle River for 4 years, and each year it has been better than the year before. This year i got a beautiful 12 point 153 inch buck. The guides are extremely knowlegable and work to make your hunt what you expect and more. The food, accomodations, and the camaraderie are number one

Turtle River Whitetails

This is was my fourth guided hunt, three of which were in SK. My friend and I narrowed our search for a whitetail hunt down to Turtle River and one other respected outfitter in the same area. The three Turtle RIver references I called had nothing but good things to say about Jeff, John, their camp and especially the way they treat their clients. After talking to the references I called John and asked him why we should choose Turtle RIver over the other outfitter we were considering. To his credit he had high praise for the other outfitter. That impressed me. He said that Turtle River is a smaller operation (six hunters in camp the week we hunted) and as a result they are able to provide personal attention to their hunters. Now that I have hunted with them I understand what John was talking about. If you want to hunt a remote area that is loaded with big deer with experienced, hard core hunters and be treated like family (and who doesn't) Turtle River Whitetails is a great choice.

Whitetail Hunt

I have hunted with Turtle River for the last 4 years. It is a true wilderness hunt. Game is ample and all stands are fresh and well placed. Having participated in many guided hunts in other areas, I would recommend this guide and experience to anyone.

Saskatchewan Whitetail Hunt

Five Star Saskatchewan Whitetail Deer Hunt. Very very remote area with high volume of Buck sightings. Stands are nice ground blinds that are strategically placed, and baited often. The two owners John & Jeff were very knowledgable outdoorsmen who were very confident about the hunters getting big saskatchewan whitetail deer. Out of the 8 hunters in camp that week, 8 nice buck were taken. Cant ask for any more than that. Also the food and lodging were very very good. Will definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend to other hunters.

turtle river whitetail hunt

this was my first hunting trip for white tail to canada and i brought my 16 yr old son along who was the primary hunter. i wanted to watch him shoot his first buck. to be blunt we had a blast. my son saw more deer than he has ever seen and saw things done by deer that he has nerver seen, does fighting , buck sparing. we saw plenty of deer and numerous bucks that would be shooters back home. the owners are polite as are the cooks. i am plaining on going back next year for myself to shoot a big buck.

Great Hunt-Great Outfitter

I had the hunt of a life time. Everything about the hunt was great. The owners work extremely hard to make certain you are satisfied. The total package provided by Turtle River exceeded my expectations. They gave me the opertunity to kill the bigest deer I have every seen (182 3/8)!!

whitetail hunt

This was my third year hunting with Turtle River and my first under the new ownership. I would highly recommend this hunt to any serious whitetail hunter. Having participated in guided hunts in Alberta, Iowa, Missouri, Ohio and another outfitter in SK, I regard Turtle River as the best by far. It is a true remote hunt and an experience you will never forget. Game is plentiful, stand are well placed and the guides and owners do everything possible to assure a great hunt. I can be reached at 814-934-3358 and would be more than happy to share more detailed information.

Oregon Hunting Information

Oregon is not known to be a trophy big game producing state. That said they do have good quantities of animals such as Elk.

Illinois Hunting Information

Illinois is widely known as a top trophy whitetail destination. Illinois also has some great waterfowl hunting, especially in southern portions of the state.

Utah Hunting Information

Utah has recently been outstanding for trophy elk, but the best tags take many years to draw. Utah does have conservation tags available for purchase that allow hunters to bypass the drawing. Given the high demand for these premium tags prices can be high. In the past Utah has been a top trophy mule deer state but recently only a handful of units consistently produce B&C caliber deer.
