A Poor Hunt at HuntBucksHere
This was a very disappointing hunt. Randy Moseley, the outfitter, sent several game camera pictures over the summer, but when we went hunting there were very few deer. There were 15 hunters hunting the first hunt, and although the webpage advertises that they have access to 6000 acres, 7 of us out of the 15 hunters were all assigned to one 570 acre farm. By the end of three days, no hunter had seen a good buck, and 2 young hunters had shot does. The farmer acknowledged knowing of only "one nice eight pointer and a ten pointer with a broken main beam" So after three days of a 5 day hunt, my partners decide thay had had enough and we went home.

Outfitter Response: Everyone has a bad hunt every now and then. As an outfitter, not everyone can see or shoot an animal that is trophy class. I am always amazed when I read something from a hunter that they are disappointed in a hunt, when in this post the hunter actually states that he saw photographs of the deer that we have in the area. Well, I don't just make these photographs. They are taken on the same properties that these individuals hunt. As for the farm they hunted, one boy in the group saw 8 different bucks on opening morning and never fired a shot. I don't know too many places where you get to see 8 bucks in a day. I also explained to the hunters that we had been having a very warm year and had one of the largest acorn crops we have ever had. Anyone that has hunted enough knows that warm weather and too much mast is going to keep the deer from moving. I explained all of this to the hunters. We did end up killing numerous deer that season and some that were very nice trophys. As I said before, not everyone can kill a Monster, yet alone see one. We have repeat hunters year after year. For some reason they keep coming back. I am sure it is not because they aren't seeing anything and they surely do not leave early when the next chance to shoot a trophy could be right around the corner. I am sorry these individuals did not enjoy their hunt, however, if one of them was a doctor and I had what I thought was a bad experience with them, I surely wouldn't post it in a medical journal!

Dont waste your money
This hunt was a joke. Nothing as promised my hunt was suposed to be fully guided for 5 with meals and lodging it turned in to three days after hidden expenses you don't find out about untill after they have your money. There was no food at all not even the milk and cereal that kevin had told me was in the tent trailer from a hunter the week before my guide was an older local guy he was very nice but not a real guide at all. I never seen an elk let alone a three point or better bull these guys just drive around on roads with every other hunter in washington. Dont waste your money. they sound great on there web site and on the phone don't let them fool you too.

Reviewer Comments: Myself and two other guys booked a 4 day hunt with wapiti creek outfitters food and lodging was include. No breakfest,1 lunch and we had to pay for supper. We seen 10 cow elk no bulls and alot of blacktail does. I did get a spike blacktail, the only buck we seen. If you are thinking of booking with these guys please dont. Total waste of time. They take you on public land and road hunt. They have no clue where the animals are.

Reviewer Comments: I saw a few cow elk. No shooter bulls. I did get a nice blacktail deer. That was the only deer I saw. The real problom is: The food was not as advertised. We bought our own lunch at a near by Burger King. He told me inline with closed breech and 209 primers were legal when they are not. He also told me he would help ship the meat and cape of the deer to me. He has never returned any of my calls or has he took my cooler to the butcher. He still has the cooler. He does know the area real well and the other guides are nice guys.
