Awesome Trip
Mark and Ironbound Outfitters was and awesome hunting experience. The camp was clean and cozy, the food was perfect (thanks paula), and the bear hunting was exceptional (thanks Mark and Don)!!! There were several active bait sites with multiple big Newfoundland bears!!! I had the chance to harvest a true 500lb + bear that I shot with my bow that led us on a 3.5 mile blood trail only to end in disappointment. I passed several 300-350 lb bears and finally on the last day of the hunt saw another 500lb + bear that was out of range. I must also mention that the weather was 20 degrees hotter then normal for this time of the year and the bears were still active. Another hunter in camp had multiple bear sightings and shot two with his rifle but only able to recover one. Overall the experience and hunting were perfect, but the people at the camp Mark, Paula(cook) and Don(guide) were what made the trip the best!!! My wife and I came as guests and left as friends!!! We are already booked for next year 2013.

THE WORST HUNTING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. WE WERE 8 HUNTERS FOR BLACK BEAR AND WE DID NOT SEE A SINGLE BEAR IN THE 5 DAYS WE WERE HUNTING. OTHER ASPECTS OF THE HUNT WERE WELL BELOW EXPECTATION BUT THE TOTAL LACK OF BEAR WAS THE OVERRIDING FACTOR IN MY DISSATISFACTION IN THE QUALITY OF THE HUNT PROVIDED. TO FILE THIS I HAD TO SET A 1 STAR RATING THIS WAS NOT DESERVED BY THE OUTFITTER

Wyoming Hunting Information
Wyoming is a great state for hunters! It offers a wide variety of good big game, turkey, small game, upland and predator hunting.
Kansas Hunting Information
Kansas is one of the top producing monster whitetail buck states in the country. It also has some excellent turkey hunting and a few big mule deer in the western part of the state. Kansas has an excellent reputation as a top notch destination for upland birds. It has excellent populations of pheasant and quail due to the vast expanse of suitable prairie and grassland type habitat.
Iowa Hunting Information
Iowa is one of the best Midwestern states for monster whitetail bucks. Non-residents must apply for a tag in their annual drawing. Archery tags are the most sought after and depending on what units you apply for generally take 2-4 years to draw.
