Reviewer Comments: This is the fourth time that I have been to North Texas Outfitters and the place is amazing. Don is an awesome guide! I took my nephew out there with me and we saw just about every type of game on the ranch. I took a real nice Fallow buck and a painted dessert ram with my bow. The ram scored a silver medal in the Record of Exotics, almost a gold. There prices are excellant and I can't wait to go back again. Reviewer Comments: Awesome ranch, this is the second time I have been, saw tons of animals, Axis, Sika, Fallow, hogs,Elk, buffalo, Antelope, I could go on for hours! I took my first Elk, and it was a hunt that I will never forget!! Don, my guide, is amazing. This is the best ranch in Texas and I am a customer for life!!

Reviewer Comments: What can I say, but WOW. This is by far the best hunt I have ever been on. I saw a lot of different species of game and the ranch is awesome. My guide, Don, was awesome. He really knew his stuff and took the time to answer all of my questions. Can't wait to go back again.

Reviewer Comments: What can I say but WOW, NTO has the stuff together, this is by far the best hunt I have ever been on! My guide, Don, was awesome and the best guide I have ever had. They really take care of there hunters and will do anything they can to make sure that you have a great hunt. I can't wait to go back this winter there bucks that are in velvet now are going to be awesome. Don't waste your time with anybody else.

Reviewer Comments: October 2003, went to North Texas Outfitters for my yearly hunt. I have been going there for 6 years and have always taken record book game but this year was to be the hunt of my life! My guide was Don Wade, probably the best guide in the USA. Don and I stalked a broup of Buffalipso, a cross between the Asian Water Buffalo and the African Cape Buffalo, for three days. At times we were stalking them and at times they were charging us. We ran for the truck more than once to keep from being trampled or worse. When I finally got my shot, we had them on one side of a gully and we were on the other side. Took him with a Tompson Contender Single Shot Pistol, 14 inch barrel in .30-.30 caliber. When we got him back to the skinning barn and could not get him up on the hoist we began to wonder just how big he was. As it turns out, it was the #1 buffalipso for the year, and the #1 all time. Thanks to Paul and Don, I now have a Diamond Award World Record Animal. If you are not hunting at North Texas Outfitters, you are wasting time and monney. I'll be there every year until they bury me.

Reviewer Comments: I can not say enough about this ranch. I have hunted here twice on the economy hunts and took a broze medal corsican and a silver medal texas dall. I saw a lot of other trophy exotics and hogs all day long. The owner and guide did a lot to make my hunt a great one. If you get a chance come here and hunt. You will have a blast!

Reviewer Comments: J.P. Kleinhans safaris in South Africa, 2 weeks of unbelievable plains game hunting. Kudu, Gemsbok, Wildebeest, Zebra, Impala, Blesbok were outstanding. Lodging & meals were great. This was my first trip to Africa, but not my last. Great price for all the animals you can take & see.

My wife and oldest daughter always hunt with me and the youngest daughter is still watching and learning from the master guide, Don Wade. We have take trophy animals each hunt and have also taken hogs in the "outback". Don and Paul make sure everything is right and everyone is having a great time! No outfitter I have been to in the last 10 years works as hard as the team at NTO. The various species, quality, and quantity of game along with their hospitality keeps us coming back!

New Mexico Hunting Information
New Mexico is one of the top destinations for trophy Elk and Antelope hunting. Draw odds can be tough depending on the unit but landowner tags are also available for those who don't draw. Mule Deer are plentiful but generally of average size. Only a couple of units and reservations consistently produce big muleys.
Colorado Hunting Information
Colorado is one of the best western states for trophy mule deer hunting and has the largest population of elk in the west.
Kansas Hunting Information
Kansas is one of the top producing monster whitetail buck states in the country. It also has some excellent turkey hunting and a few big mule deer in the western part of the state. Kansas has an excellent reputation as a top notch destination for upland birds. It has excellent populations of pheasant and quail due to the vast expanse of suitable prairie and grassland type habitat.
