Reviewer Comments: This was our first hunt in Colorado and we entered into the hunt and outfitter with little guidance. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have selected this outfitter (J&D Outiffers and Guide Service) and would recommend this group without hesitation. If you have only one Colorado hunt to make, or if you hunt Colorado each year, you must book a hunt with this group. I assure you it will be an excellent experience all around. Reviewer Comments: THIS WAS MY 6TH YEAR IN ROW WITH J&D OUTFITTERS. EVERY YEAR I SAY IT CAN'T GET ANY BETTER YET EVERY YEAR IT DOES! DOYLE RUNS A FIRST CLASS OPERATION FROM THE TIME YOU BOOK THE HUNT TIL THE TIME YOU LEAVE FOR HOME.HE SUROUNDS HIMSELF WITH PEOPLE THAT HAVE THE SAME HARD WORKING VALUES THAT HE DOES.EVERYONE ON HIS STAFF TAKES IT PERSONELL TO SEE YOU HAVE A GREAT TIME.THIS WAS MY FIRST YEAR HUNTING WITH A MUZZLE LOADER AND IT WAS A BALL!! THE WEATHER WAS HOT AND THE BULLS WERE SCREAMING BUT DID'NT GIVE YOU ALOT OF TIME TIL THEY HIT THE DARK TIMBER.THE FOURTH DAY AFTER PASSING SOME DECENT BULLS.WE TRIED TO COACH A 350+ CLASS BULL INTO SHOOTING RANGE BUT HE WOULD'NT COME .HIS 280 CLASS BUDDY DID AND I TOOK HIM.I PASSED ON MANY 140 TO 165 CLASS MULIES AS I KNOW WHATS OUT THERE.IF YOUR TIRED OF OUTFITTERS THAT DON'T LIVE UP TO WHAT THEY TELL YOU GIVE DOYLE A CALL YOU WON'T BE DISAPOINTED.I WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE AT J&D OUTFITTERS WHO ALL HAVE BECOME GREAT FREINDS FOR ANOTHER FANTASTIC WEEK IN COLORADO. Reviewer Comments: DOYLE WORBINGTON AND ALL OF HIS GUIDES GAVE ME AND MY 14 YEAR OLD SON A HUNT OF A LIFETIME.FROM THE TIME OF BOOKING THE HUNT UNTIL THE TIME WE LANDED IN COLORADO DOYLE WAS VERY HELPFUL. THIS WAS OUR FIRST GUIDED HUNT.WE HUNTED THE CRIPPLE CREEK RANCH SECOND SEASON IN OCT.2003.HUNTING CONDITIONS WERE DIFFICULT VERY HOT AND DRY FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR,HOWEVER WITH THE HARD WORK OF THE GUIDES AND EXPERTISE ALL 4 HUNTERS IN OUR CAMP BAGGED OUT.THE REAL AND MAIN FACT OF MY TESTIMONIAL IS THAT THIS WAS A DREAM COME TRUE FOR ME AND MY SON.MY 14 YEAR OLD SON KILLED A 6X7 BULL AND MYSELF A 6X5. DOES IT GET ANY BETTER? NONE OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE IF IT WASNT FOR DOYLE AND HIS CREW. THEY ENCOURAGE THE FAMILY HUNTING.THEY GAVE MY SON NOT ONLY AN EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION,BUT A LIFELONG DREAM THAT HE WILL HAVE TOGETHER WITH HIS FATHER."PRICELESS" THANKS AGAIN SEE YOU IN '05 SEASON

Reviewer Comments: I have been on various guided hunts for Moose, Caribou and Black Bear. Each hunt was a challenge but successful. I must say Doyle Worbington and his crew were the best. I have run a Fishing Charter for 17 years and know what to look for in customer satisfaction. Doyle Worbington and J&D outfiters met all of my expatiations. I had a enjoyable time with J&D and have no problem saying they are trustworthy.

Reviewer Comments: I will be very candid, and admit up front that I worked as both a guide and soil conservation advisor for Doyle during the intial three years of his operation. I have known Doyle for the past six years, and we have been planning a hunt for my son as soon as he became of legal age. My son finally drew Mule deer buck and Cow elk. I am a Active Duty First Sergeant in the United States Army and was deployed to Iraq in the Spring of 2003. Doyle went out of his way to ensure that my son Zachary was able to still go on his hunt. The year that I was gone was a very difficult time for Zach, and this hunt gave him some much needed peace of mind. Doyle went out of his way to photograph Zachs hunt and sent them to me in Iraq. This is not only a quality operation, it is ran by top notch, family oriented people. Zach was quickly made to feel like one of the guys as evidenced by the huge smile on his face with his buck Mule deer and Cow elk. I will forever be in Doyles debt for taking the time to make this hunt a lasting lifetime memory for my son. Thanks Doyle

Reviewer Comments: Late snows required changes in our hunting plans. Doyle handled every detail well in advance, and with great care and consideration. He is very professional in the services he provides, yet very personable in his daily client care. He has many resources available, and uses them wisely. With so much acreage under his control, we hunted numerous locations, never overhunting or over pressuring any one area. My wife harevsted her gobbler on the last afternoon of her hunt, well deserved by all considering the effort required. Thanks to Doyles efforts on our behalf, we have a trophy, memories and a friend to last our lifetime.

Reviewer Comments: THIS WAS MY 4TH HUNT WITH DOYLE AND THIS YEAR THE PRESSURE WAS ON ME. IV'E BEEN BRAGGING ABOUT DOYLE'S GUIDE SERVICE EVERY YEAR AFTER I RETURN.SO THIS PAST YEAR 5 OF MY BDDIES WENT WITH ME.NEEDLESS TO SAY WE ALL HAD A ONCE IN A LIFE TIME HUNT.IN FIVE DAYS WE TOOK SIX NICE BULLS AND SIX NICE MULIES.I STILL DON'T THINK THE SMILE HAS LEFT MY BEST FRIEND'S FACE YET.EVERYTHING WAS JUST AS I HAD BRAGGED (FANTASTIC)!! FROM THE GAME TO THE MEALS TO THE ACCOMADATIONS IT'S ALL FIRST CLASS.EVERY DAY WE ALL WERE SEEING ANIMALS WHICH MAKES FOR A GREAT TIME. I PASSED ON A 27" MULIE THE FIRST DAY BECAUSE THERE WERE A COUPLE 30"ERS RUNNING AROUND. THE SAME MORNING MY FRIEND STEVE WHO WAS OUT THERE THE YEAR BEFORE HAD A SIX BY SIX 30 YARDS FROM HIM AND PAST HIM UP ALSO BECAUSE HE HAD GOT GLIMPSE OF A SMASHER EARLIER.THIS IS THE STUFF THAT MAKES HUNTING SO MUCH FUN OUT THERE.THROW IN GREAT FOOD,HOT SHOWERS EVERY NITE,AND HONEST PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH,IT ALL ADDS UP TO A GREAT PLACE TO GO.

Reviewer Comments: I also hunted 4th season at the Montrose ranch. I am, I'm embarrassed to say, one of the guys who whiffed his shot and did not take home an elk. Despite going home empty handed, I had a great hunt and second what the Geibs wrote. I am relatively new to hunting, and Doyle and his team were terrific. The accomodations were more than satisfactory, and the food was quite good. If you're determined to get a bull in the 375+ class, this is probably not the hunt for you (although the Cripple Creek ranch may harbor some bulls in that size range)-Doyle will be very up front about this. However, if you want to see plenty of animals and are happy with a bull in the 250 to 320 range, it would be hard to imagine a better situation. Although deer season was closed, the deer were plentiful and several of the bucks were huge. I have already given Doyle a deposit for another hunt...

Reviewer Comments: My son and I hunted the 4th season in Unit 64 with J&D Outfitters. There were 4 hunters in camp at their Montrose location. We all had shooting opportunities at bull elk. There was a 50% success rate with my son's 6x6 and my 6x5. The entire organization goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. The guides, Doyle and Bryant, know the land like the back of their hands and are constantly working to get bull elk in front of you. The food was hearty, homecooked and plentiful. Accommodations were a real nice central lodge and detached 2 person cabins with their own hot water and shower. Transfers to and from the airport right on schedule. There were no surprises, you got what you contracted for and then some. In addition to elk, the land has significant mule deer. None of us had drawn a tag, but we saw several bucks approaching 28-30 inch spreads. I have been on 14 other guided hunts and this experience ranks right up there in the top category. I plan to go again in 2004 hopefully for a combination elk and mule deer hunt.
