Reviewer Comments: I have just returned from hunting on 08/30/2009. I saw a tremendous amount of Bear sign as well as live bears. Chris and T&T made the experience incredible. I harvested a Beautiful 400lb Bear that looked like it just stepped out of the shower. The fishing was slow because of the high water, but still good. The hunting was exceptional! I traveled with a first time hunter who also harvested a nice bear. I strongly recommend this camp to anyone. Feel free to contact me, I have lots of pictures! Not a lot of people in camp so you have a lot of personal attention.

Reviewer Comments: 3 of 4 took bears. One bear 200# plus, another 300# plus and a small bear. I went without. It was fun, we were provided with plenty of bait, shown good metal stands that were being hit daily, we rebaited ourselves, gas was brought out for the generator(and we provided our some of our own). The outpost needs a kitchen sink and a gray water disposal system. It could use a few more wall hooks and a clothesline system too.

Reviewer Comments: I would highly recommend Chris and his wonderful staff for any level of Bear hunting experience. It by far was the best experience I have had hunting in ten years of traveling to Canada. I would have to say they love what they do and it shows. I look forward to returning this year to Hunt and Fish again!

Reviewer Comments: Chris is hard working setting up and working the deer stands and bear baits he know his bears and for this a lone I will be back with him hunting. Chris when out out of his way to make sure I had a great time hunting in Canada being from the states and not knowing the game laws in Canada Chris lets you know that he is no slob hunter from the sign out side the main cabin. I'm a life member of NAHC, NRA and would recommend him to all

Reviewer Comments: I saw three bears and took the last of the three by the third day. I hunted different bait sites and all were very good. The ground blinds were well placed and the tree stands were well constructed and safe. I hunted in September 2008 and have already booked another hunt for September 2010. The only reason that I did not book for 2009 was that I had already booked a safari in Africa this this season. I can't hardly wait till I go back to Pine Acres for another fun and exciting hunt.

Reviewer Comments: Hunted here for six years and harvested three trophy class bucks. No gauranty of a kill but stands are set in well traveled areas and in the last two years small amounts of bait is permitted. Every year there are bucks of a lifetime shot by a client. Weather determines alot toward the outcome up here as teritory is large and deer take a while to move through it. I pray for cold and snow when here. Already booked for 09.

Reviewer Comments: Our first bear hunt ever. We really enjoyed it. 17-24 hunters, made dinner a fun social event talking with so many people from different areas about your hunting experience. There were many, many bait sites available. You did have to drive 40 - 60 min, but look where you are! Good hunting sites. 3 out of 4 got bears in our party, all saw them. For the money, it was a great time!

Reviewer Comments: Chris and Lottie run a great outfit. This is a hunting only camp and not a fishing resort trying to capitalize on the great hunting in Ontario.Stands are baited and very well placed on private and some public land giving you the opprotunity to harvested the trophy of a life time.I've hunted with Chris for 6 years and things continue to improve.I shot my personnel best buck in 2008(158" 10pt.)on public land.Cabins and lodge are very clean and comfortable and very welcoming after a long days hunt.

Species Hunted: Bear
Game Quality: Poor (None in 7 days)
Accommodation Quality: Poor
Camp Condition: N/A
Food Quality: N/A
Guide Experience: 25+ years
Other Personal Experience: No other help
Overall Impression: Very Very Poor
Recommend: Absolutely Not
Reviewer Comments: From the time we got into camp, there was no direction or anything. Chris and Lottie were both very impersonal, and were hardly around. Once they got their money it was like pulling teeth to get any help. The stands were just stands nailed to trees sitting on buckets at least mine was. The baits did not seem to be baited before arrival either. In all fairness with the hunt the blue berries were very thick, and the bears weren't as interested. The outfitter, however wouldn't change my position or offer a spot and stalk in the berry batchs. There was 27 people in camp he was trying to entertain and there was around 6 bears killed out of these hunters. This hunt was different then what he made it seem at the all canada show. Many in camp got the same sales line as I did at the show so watch out for that. I would not recommend this hunt to anyone and will never go back myself. Feel free to e-mail with any questions.

Species Hunted: Bear
Game Quality: Poor
Accommodation Quality: Good
Camp Condition: Good
Food Quality: n/a
Guide Experience: 20 years
Other Personal Experience: less than 1 year
Overall Impression: very disappointing
Recommend: never
Reviewer Comments: This hunt was not what it was advertised to be. I was misled in the number of bears we would see and the size/color. I was told there would be no more than 8 in camp at one time. There were 32 total from various states. I was told there would be a 100% see rate, 98% success rate. Others in camp were told the same story. In my group of 3 hunters - we shot one bear and saw another - in 7 days. Distance to bait sites was 40 miles one way. In talking with guide, my group told him we were disappointed and he told us he didn't care. After my experience, I can not recommend this camp to anyone for bear hunting.
