Reviewer Comments: Went the first week of gun season for Moose and bear. Had a great time, got 2 good size Moose (good eating also)and had a great shot at a bear but lost him. Very nice accomodations and very good meals. Guides were experienced and accomodating. Be prepared for a work out! Gore Tex and high rubber boots a must. Dean is a class act and a person you can trust. Out there, that is important...

Reviewer Comments: I booked a 6 day hunt with Dean for moose, caribou and bear. Saw lots of moose, but caribou and bear was scarce. Bagged a 12 point moose on second day of hunt with 40 inch spread and bagged an acceptable caribou stag on third day of the hunt. I got the bear tag just in case I came upon one but was not hunting for one specifically. The guides were knowledgble and worked very hard to help you get your game. The food was outstanding!!! Overall Dean is an very professional outfitter and he runs a well organized camp. You will not be disappointed with his services.

Reviewer Comments: My 4th hunt with MVO in 4 years saw me take a bou and bear with the bow. Should have had a moose with the bow at 25 yards, but had a superfical shoulder hit let him sore and me very downhearted. Also had a close encounter with a big bull with a rifle on the last day that did not work out, but the guides did their jobs as always. I'll be back in 05. Book fast the word is out and this personal famiuly run professional operation is booked solid for two years out. They are small but top notch in all regards. Great people, great culture, excellent animals, and guides are fun. Do keep an eye on caribou numbers as there seems to be some drop off year over year in sightings but certainly not quality. You'll get your money's worth.

Reviewer Comments: Despite two days of horrible weather, this was a fantastic hunt. The caribou numbers were low, but with some hard work, the opportunity at a trophy stag was there. I was not hunting moose, but saw plenty of bulls during the week. This is one VERY organized operation, where the outfitter truly cares about his hunters, and the quality of the hunt.

Reviewer Comments: 2nd year in a row hunting with Dean and his family at Moose Valley outfitters. I had the rifle with me this year and took a nice Bull moose during the week. I seen Moose everyday and had a great time and already booked again! Small family run operation, fly in camp, hard working guides and great food. What else can you ask for!

Reviewer Comments: In 2003 I hunted moose with the bow and saw 58 moose for the trip. Of the 58 at least 18 were bulls including some long range sightings of real monsters and a close encounter with a 14 pointer called in to 30 yards that did not present a shot. I had four encounters with moose at 30-35 yards, but no shot opportunities due to angles not conducive to good clean kills. This was a great amount of action especially since the weather was horrendous for hunting due to high temperatures that set the rut back weeks. In the 3 trips that I have taken when there were guys in camp rifle hunting ( a total of 4 weeks) I believe that all but one tag possessed was filled with moose or caribou (the guy that did not fill passed many moose on the first 3 days and got weathered out at the end of the week). I have seen bear and been in camp with bear taken as well. I'll be back in 2005 for another dose of moose hunting with the bow with the fine family that operates MVO

Reviewer Comments: MooseValley is a great outfitter. I've bowhunted with them twice and plan on going back again. I've had stalks on Pope and Young caribou on both hunts and several stalks on bull moose. The food was great and alot of it. Everyone at MooseValley goes out of their way to make your hunt the best it can be. They are warm, friendly and very professional. They leave little room for inprovements. I can't wait for my next trip up.

Reviewer Comments: A professional hunt as it should be, no surprizes or hidden costs. All services were aimed at making your hunt a success. Hunted a different area everyday, a short boat ride from camp. Float plane service was excellent even if the weather was a little challenging. Camp was 100% by Wednesday. Food was great, guides were very accomendating. Wilderness area; no roads or ATV's! My bother in law and I are returning in the fall of 2005. Can't wait! That was the first opening as of 10/02.

Reviewer Comments: Dean runs a great operation for Moose and Caribou, No big run em thru camp here, its like a family at his camp and everyone there works hard to see you get your moose or caribou. Now I know why so many have great things to say about Dean and MVO, it was my first year with him and will be back again soon, you can not go wrong with this outfitter!

Iowa Hunting Information
Iowa is one of the best Midwestern states for monster whitetail bucks. Non-residents must apply for a tag in their annual drawing. Archery tags are the most sought after and depending on what units you apply for generally take 2-4 years to draw.
Oregon Hunting Information
Oregon is not known to be a trophy big game producing state. That said they do have good quantities of animals such as Elk.
Quebec Hunting Information
Quebec is probably best know as an excellent caribou hunting destination. Hunters from across the globe travel to Quebec to hunt their big Quebec-Labrador caribou migration. In addition to caribou hunting, Quebec offers black bears, Canada moose and whitetails.
