Reviewer Comments: Joe was our contact for the week as Larry had passed. We hunted the fourth rifle season. Party of Four. We harvested 2 really nice 5x5 bulls. All had opportunities. Saw well over 50 elk for the week. Joe stopped by every now and then to check on our progress and help glass. Great trip. Worth every penny. Tough country/hunting. Will be back.

Reviewer Comments: My Son & I hunted with Larry the 4th season. It took a day or two of hard hunting to find the Elk but they where there. We seen several bulls but to far for a shot and wound up killing 2 cows. If you can, bring a Quad along to help get your elk out some areas are tough. Larry gives you some help but when you hunt your on your own. It is a true D.I.Y. hunt. All in all it was a good hunt. Thanks Larry

Reviewer Comments: I have hunted with Larry Bishop twice now on a couple of DIY elk hunts and have had 100% success. This area of Colorado is managed for larger quantities of elk rather than trophy size elk. It is an excellent area for hunters who do not posess a lot of preference points; tags can be had with 0 points. Larry is a no BS kind of guy who doesn't make a lot of promises that he can't keep. If you hunt with Larry you will see elk; if you hunt hard you have an excellent opportunity to take a good representative animal.

Reviewer Comments: This was a trespass fee hunt for DIY mule deer. Was my first time hunting mule deer, didn't know what to expect. Larry took us to the ranch a day before the hunt, gave us a map of our hunting area along with our rules and regulations. Had 5 days to hunt, my partner and I both tagged out the second day. My buck was 5 x 4 22-1/2" wide counting brows & a sticker. In two days hunting seen 350+ deer with 50+ being bucks. On day three Larry contacted us to make sure we were seeing deer, he'll go out of his way to make sure you get your tag filled. Larry is top notch, honest in the size bucks you can take on his ranches. Exceeded my goals for the hunt.

Reviewer Comments: This is not a " canned hunt" It's free range and wide open, only a few small fences to keep the sheep in place. It is a working ranch. You get a short tour of the property lines the day before your hunt, then you're on your own. Book your hotel early and bring binoculars.

He is knows where the elk will be and how you can get to them. We enjoy this hunt so much that we bring our next years deposit with us.

Reviewer Comments: Larry sent contracts through the mail, every thing was in wrighting, right down to the name of the ranch I would have access to. I got onto the ranch propery that I was to hunt the day before opening day. Larry showed me the blind location, when we drove in antelope scattered in all directions from the water hole and the blind area. The next morning I was in the blind before daylight, about 8am I took a perfectly even 70inch antelope buck from 23 yards with my bow. I could have waited for something differant but this buck was exactly what I was after, good mass up the horns, perfect cutters and matching points. The antelope in this area GMU003 north of Craig Colorado have great genetics, I am accumulating preferance points for a return trip in a few years. Thanks Larry.

Reviewer Comments: Had a great time. Saw Elk daily, by following words of outfitter we were able to fill four of five tags. The setting was great, food and motels present. Close to hunting location. Area to hunt was well set for those who did not know area. Boundries were well marked and rules were known ahead of time. We had no suprises upon arriving at area. What Larry said we would get we received. Was a great hunting experience. Would use again.

Reviewer Comments: This was a 'trespass fee' hunt for antelope. Larry not only took us around the property the day before the hunt started showing us the property and different animals, he offered to come with (guide)us, if we wanted. This resulted in my partener and I both getting VERY nice antelope. Larry's honest, knowledgeable, helpful, and has some great antelope on his leases. I can't wait to hunt with him again!
