Solitude Ranch October 2012
This was a hunt that I won on Nexthunt for the 2012 season. The Solitude Ranch is a first class operation. It is located in one of the most beautiful locations in the country, near Devils Tower Wyoming. Mike Schmidt the owner of the ranch was a very gracious host. Mike owns. Intrepid outdoors a film and production company for hunting. As I understand the ranch is mostly for filming of hunting adventures and not open to everyone. We saw many deer every day and many Pope and Young, but did not always have an opportunity for a shot due to distance and wind conditions. The two cameramen/guides were excellent, knowledgable and friendly. There were numerous opportunities for deer but we were looking for special ones. The accommodations were excellent at the Hulett Inn which Mike also owns. I did get a shot at a great deer on the last day of the hunt, but managed to shoot over him. Thank you JT for putting this wonderful opportunity and prize together.

The Solitude
Possibly the best ranch for whitetails in Wyoming! Lots of deer, multiple opportunities at Pope&Young class animals with a very good chance of taking a 150"-160" if you can hold out! #1 and #2 Pope&Young state records have been taken off this ranch recently. Great people, incredible country, lots of game!

The solitude ranch is loaded with game, whitetails, mule deer,Merriam turkeys and elk.I personally saw over 50 deer a day from my stand.I hunted with a large group, about 9 guys. Each hunter had his own area to hunt which would be about 3 to 4 thousand acres to themselves. All in our group harvested very nice bucks all P&Y.Can't wait to hunt there again!!!!

Ohio Hunting Information
Ohio is best known for its trophy whitetail deer. In fact, the world record non-typical whitetail was harvested in Greene county by Mike Beatty in November 2001,
New Mexico Hunting Information
New Mexico is one of the top destinations for trophy Elk and Antelope hunting. Draw odds can be tough depending on the unit but landowner tags are also available for those who don't draw. Mule Deer are plentiful but generally of average size. Only a couple of units and reservations consistently produce big muleys.
Alberta Hunting Information
Alberta is a large, diverse province with rolling prairies, farmland, river bottoms, Boreal forests, and large expanses of the northern Rocky Mountains. Many species of big game, waterfowl, upland game and predators inhabit Alberta. Long known for monster whitetails, Alberta also is home to big mule deer, pronghorn antelope, elk, black bear, cougar, Canada moose, and bighorn sheep. In fact, 7 of the 10 largest bighorn sheep in Boone and Crockett record book are from Alberta. In addition to big game, Alberta offers some top notch bird hunting. Serious waterfowlers know about the large flocks of ducks and geese that call Alberta home or migrate through.
