Reviewer Comments: My wife and I went for a combo hunt. The problem was we got antelope tags but we didn't hunt them. The outfitter informed us when we arrived that we need to pay him more money if we wanted to hunt antelope. Tracey also made sure that where we hunted there was no antelope for us to see and try to get. Tracey made a lot of promises over the phone but didn't hold up to any of them. We even said something to our guide about it and he said that the outfitter sells what you want to hear. The mule deer that we got on our last day they are not the biggest in the world. We were also informed by the guide that if you pay him a extra money he puts you in better places. We will never go back to hunt with Hidden Valley. There was other problems that happened and too many to mention here. Please feel free to contact us, we don't want this to happen to anyone else when you put a lot of time, money and effort into booking one of these hunts.

Reviewer Comments: Hunted for the FIFTH time with HVO from 11/10 to 11/14/05. With the exception of one rainy day, we saw at least 5 or 6 4X4's every day. Shot a nice 4X4 with eyeguards on day 4. He was the largest of SEVEN bucks chasing a hot doe. All of the hunters in camp tagged out with nice muleys, with the exception of one fellow who wounded a big one the evening I left camp. He was going to return with his guide the next day to try to retrieve it. The guides (Donnie and Bubba)are very knowledgeable and the ranches that Tracy leases are the best in that part of Montana. I wouldn't go back so often if it weren't so great.

Reviewer Comments: This was our second time hunting with Hidden Valley Outfitters. As was the case the first time, I was extremely impressed with the knowledge and experience of our guide. We saw more than our share of above-average mule deer. All 3 in our party shot nice bucks. The food is outstanding and everyone working at the camp is a pleasure to be around. I would definitely recommend this hunt and hope to return for a third time.

Species Hunted: Antelope (archery)

Game Quality: Excellent

Accommodation Quality: Great

Camp Condition: Great

Food Quality: Excellent

Guide Experience: Excellent

Other Personal Experience: Excellent

Overall Impression: Best Hunt I have been on

Recommend: I Already Did

Reviewer Comments: I shot a doe and have missed a P&Y antelope after only 15 min of hunting and this was only about an hour and a half after I had stepped off of the plane. I passed on many animals the next mourning and shot a buck that evening. There was hardly a time when there was not a antelope in sight. This was more action than I had ever expected on a water hole hunt. If you want to decoy or spot and stalk you can try what ever you want. The guides are very flexible to your wants and needs. I have already book for next year.

Reviewer Comments: The Hunt I booked was supposed to be on the Powder River Ranch. The Outfitter lost the lease and did not inform me of this until I arrived at camp. In fact as of 11-11-04 It still shows this ranch available for hunting. The Mule deer I say were in the 22-26 inch class and not really the quality of Mule Deer that I was told to expect.

Reviewer Comments: Tracy, Don, Harriet and the whole group made our third trip to Montana the charm, I shot a massive 27" spread the first morning, and my partner shot a 24" 3 hours later. Everything they write about there Outfit is accurate, from food, to the large private ranches,to the quality and quantity of game. The best experience we've had, they really make you feel like family.

Reviewer Comments: This was my 4th HVO hunt, and my best. Shot a 29" spread 5X5 on the last day of the hunt. Of our group of 6, we went 6/6 on trophy bucks. Of the HVO camp total of 11 hunters, we went 11/11. My guide, Brad, was simply unrelenting in his efforts to put me on a monster buck, and his efforts paid off. Can't wait for HVO trip #5!!

Alberta Hunting Information

Alberta is a large, diverse province with rolling prairies, farmland, river bottoms, Boreal forests, and large expanses of the northern Rocky Mountains. Many species of big game, waterfowl, upland game and predators inhabit Alberta. Long known for monster whitetails, Alberta also is home to big mule deer, pronghorn antelope, elk, black bear, cougar, Canada moose, and bighorn sheep. In fact, 7 of the 10 largest bighorn sheep in Boone and Crockett record book are from Alberta. In addition to big game, Alberta offers some top notch bird hunting. Serious waterfowlers know about the large flocks of ducks and geese that call Alberta home or migrate through.

Manitoba Hunting Information

Manitoba is known as a top destination for avid waterfowl hunters. Huge flocks of ducks and geese can be found from the Arctic coast of Hudson Bay to the prairie potholes on the southern border of this Canadian province. There is no legal requirement for non-resident waterfowl hunters to use a guide, but many are available and a high percentage of non-Canadian hunters utilize them. In addition black bear, Canada moose and whitetails are hunted throughout the province.
