Reviewer Comments: This is a nice faimly run outfit. They provide you with every oppertunity to harvest the animal of your choice. They are very saftey and conservation minded. After the first visit you will have made friends for life. This was my first time with any outfitter so I can't compare Lobo to any others and I did harvest a nice 5 by 6 elk. I doubt there are any better outfitters and guides in the area. I am looking forword to huntimg with them again, with my two sons along that so they may have the same fond elk hunting memories that I do. Thankyou so much Dick, Mike, and Gwen, you are the greatest.

Reviewer Comments: Ever read an article you just can not believe was written? That is much the way I feel after reading comments by DB 10-9-2003 about Lobo. I have hunted elk at least 15 times starting in the early eighties with this outstanding family taking my first bull (5x6) with Mike when he was only 19 years of age. He was knowledgeable then and over 20 years latter, now he is one of the most outstanding guides I know. Dick taught his son well and I personally rank Dick as one of the finest outfitter/guides of today. This outfit has such strong dedication to conservation and ethics for the hunter as well as the game pursued. Have I harvested a bull on every hunt? No, and usually the fault was my own when I did not. I have however taken three with rifle in my early hunts, then two with muzzleloaders and for the last eight years, seven with a revolver. Lobo knows how to keep good bulls on their lands and they certainly know how to hunt them. I have found their camps to be top shelf and food to be excellent and plenty of it. Have YOU ever had lobster in a remote elk camp? I have, and it was with Lobo. I can not help to think from reading the negative post that there is more to the story than given and just a disappointed client letting off steam. If this individual was disappointed with Lobo, then I suggest he will be hard pressed to ever find an outfitter to be pleasing in all the categories given the bad marks. One thing for sure, I plan to be back with The Rays in 2004 for about my twelve year in a row and I highly recommend this family operated outfit to all. I would be glad to reply to anyone about my hunts with Dick and Mike Ray. Bill Buckman

Reviewer Comments: I have hunted with Dick & Mike Ray for around 10 years. They are always professional, most all guides have been with them for many years. I have seen upwards of 20-30 elk a day with many bulls in herd. Only one out of 10 years came home without elk by my choice. Will be happy to share photos of every elk I have harvested with Lobo Outfitters and would be happy to speak with any one regarding their excellent guiding services. I would challenge anyone to find a better meal at any 5 star restaurant than Gwen serves at camp. The review by another hunter on this service is the first time I have ever heard a negative report about Lobo Outfitters. The experience is wonderful with Lobo and as all hunters know the experience is first and foremost harvesting an animal is secondary. With Lobo you can have both.

Reviewer Comments: I have hunted for several years with Mike and Dick Ray and I can honestly say that they run one of the best outfits that I have ever used. I have hunted Texas, California, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico and Africa and they rank among the best I have experienced. I have been hunting for over 30 years and I have taken friends and family along on hunts with Mike and Dick and they have had similar experiences as I have. In fact, among myself and those whom I have taken to hunt with Lobo Outfitters, we are 7 for 7 on bull elk! This includes archery and rifle hunts in Colorado and New Mexico. If anyone would like to know more about their services, just give them a call and they will be happy to provide you with numerous references...it is the only way to objectively guage an outfit. I doubt seriously that you will be unhappy if you book with them. Jack Smith

Reviewer Comments: SOLD US A ELK AND MULE DEER COMBO HUNT UNFORTUMATLY WHEN WE GOT THERE THE GUIDE SAID THEY HADN'T SEEN A MULE DEER IN YEARS WHERE WE WERE HUNTING. WE DIDNT SEE ANYTHING FOR 5 DAYS JUST WALKED AND WALKED AROUND THE SAME PIECE OF PROPERTY. ON THE DAY AFTER OUR HUNT MIKE, DICK RAY SON, TOOK HIS BUDDY OUT AND KILLED A NICE 6X6. WE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO SEE ONE AND THEY GO OUT AND COMCE BACK IN 4 HOURS WITH AND ELK. WHAT A RIP OFF, THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE IN THIS BUSINESS.
