Great Hunt/ Great Outfitters
I Drew a tag this year and hunted the first two weeks of the archery season at thunder ridge outfitters. Knowing I may not draw again for another 3 years I thought it would be best to have the time blocked off in advanced. Thunder ridge runs one camp of no more than 8 guys in camp a week and my camp had 6 total. Funny there was no Steve R. or Chris b. From Jersey at all those two weeks. In fact of the 10 guys I hunted with ( of which 6 killed, all left camp with every intention of rebooking on their next draw). These two ficticious characters are simply on here bashing tro and promoting another site. Bad for business and bad for them. Wade and Tony run a top notch outfit from the lodge to the stands to the timbers they hunt. Every stand I sat was like it was the first time it had been sat, in fact most had never been. I saw atleast 15 deer every day and approximately 20 bucks finally harvesting a 150" nontypical on the 8th day. If your looking to book a tremendous whitetail hunt in Iowa do your own legwork like I did. Visit these boys website and call some REAL references on their site whom actually hunted with them. Good hunting.

Iowa Gun Hunt
This was my first hunt in Iowa, but not my first hunt in the mid-west. I've hunted with several outfitters, one being suggested by Orvis, and Thunder Ridge was a breath of fresh air compared to other outfitters I've hunted with. Tony and Wade took a personal interest in our success and made sure that different types of hunters were placed where they felt comfortable. Timber, standing crops, tree stand or ground blind, they are set up for any hunter. As soon as I get my points built up I'm headed back, and I would suggest that you give Tony and Wade a call. And check out the pics on their website too. I passed on several deer and didn't take one home, but I helped load one of those pigs in the back of a truck, and believe me, they have the deer.

Thunder Ridge Outfitters or is it Lack of Effort O
As to the positive reviews made about this outfitter.. These are his friends that get special treatment. The truth be told is that what made this hunt terrible was not the poor quality of bucks seen it was the attitude's of the guides. The purely didn't care if we got our deer or didn't. It was a select few that they took to some private farms secretly that have posted these positive reviews. It just seems like a shady operation for them to take people's money and to hunt for themselves and their select friends.. Little do some of these FL guys know, Tony was trashing them behind their backs... From the guide's own mouth, he said: " Cabelas is backing off booking hunts with us and sending their clients to Crashin Antlers Outfitters which is right down the road".. I guess their quality speaks for themselves... Good Luck if you book or get taken by these guys..

Terrible Hunt, No Effort..
Terrible hunt, no effort or organization from the guides.. Can't believe I booked this through Cabelas.. Guides are arrogant and smart asses.. Talked crap on other hunters in camp and sabotaged their hunts.. Couldn't believe they were saying this in front of other clients in camp.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS OUTFITTER!!

Late muzzleloader Hunt. Its all about food and weather. Outfitters had plenty of food, standing soybeans, corn, ect. Weather was not good. No snow and mild temps for Jan in Iowa. There was 3 in our party and we ended up with 1 buck , 1- wounded and 1 miss. All had opportunities. Brought back 3 big does also. All Iowa residents want you to take all the does you can out of their state. Food and Lodging were very good. Outfitter has very good leases with trophy deer. Outfitter does not overhunt his land. 8 hunters were in camp for this hunt. This was my 3rd hunt with this outfitter and will book again.

Iowa muzzleloader hunt 2010
I hunted for the first time this year with thunder ridge outfitters in Iowa.. Those guys put on a great hunt.. I saw many deer, was treated with the utmost respect and the personal touch Tony Sehman puts forth for each hunter is great. I have harvested several nice whittails and was looking for that special "one". I did see many many very nice bucks that many would consider their trophy. I was unable to harvest the Booner I was looking for but deffinately have no complaints on hunt. I have already put money down and booked my hunt for the 2011 season. In general .. hats off to Thunder Ridge

Iowa Giants
These guys are the real deal. I went to Iowa for the first time with high hopes and was not let down. I saw my first true Booner and shot a 150 inch 8 point in the same morning. Hunt was a true success and as soon as the state of Iowa grants me another tag I will be back to hunt with the guys at Thunder Ridge.

Great Huntnat TRO
From the first phone call to Thunder ridge to the last day of the hunt this was a excellent experience ! Tony and Wade are the owners of TRO and I dont think you can find a couple guides that try harder to give you the best chance at harvesting the buck your after! I seen no less than 30 deer every night out and most nights alot more with many bucks to pick from! I've hunted with alot of outfitters and these guys are right at the top! I actually enjoyed the hunt so much that I booked another hunt for next year for my wife and myself ! If you like hunting Whitetails and seeing big bucks give these guys a call !

Whitetail Hunt
This was my second whitetail hunt. First was in IL and it was awful. The trip to Thunder Ridge was a complete opposite experience. At Thunder Ridge, there is an abundance of deer and more importantly an abundance of good deer. Many bucks were seen during the trip and a 50% kill rate during during the 2nd muzzleloader season. More bucks would have been killed but several of the hunters passed shooters (140) in hopes of killing 160 class deer. I killed a nice ten point and will be back again. I plan on hunting Iowa again with Thunder Ridge in the near future. Thanks again to the Sehman brothers for a quality whitetail hunt.

Quebec Hunting Information
Quebec is probably best know as an excellent caribou hunting destination. Hunters from across the globe travel to Quebec to hunt their big Quebec-Labrador caribou migration. In addition to caribou hunting, Quebec offers black bears, Canada moose and whitetails.
Illinois Hunting Information
Illinois is widely known as a top trophy whitetail destination. Illinois also has some great waterfowl hunting, especially in southern portions of the state.
Manitoba Hunting Information
Manitoba is known as a top destination for avid waterfowl hunters. Huge flocks of ducks and geese can be found from the Arctic coast of Hudson Bay to the prairie potholes on the southern border of this Canadian province. There is no legal requirement for non-resident waterfowl hunters to use a guide, but many are available and a high percentage of non-Canadian hunters utilize them. In addition black bear, Canada moose and whitetails are hunted throughout the province.
